Happy, Happy Friday, Folks!!!!

It's been another busy week for me and I'm sad I haven't had time to blog.  I also haven't had time to upload new pictures from my camera yet either!!  GRRR!!  I have Dazzle's awesome state museum photos to share but I guess that will have to be postponed until Monday.  BOO!

I've got BIG, awesome plans for this weekend but I think I'm going to keep those under wraps for now so I will have bunches to report on Monday.  (And, I'm not going to have time for much bloggy business right now)

Here is a teeny, tiny preview:
Channing, you better be ready for Lolly, Jade and I because we are ready for you!!! :)
Stay tuned....It's going to be an interesting report!
(I'm expecting THIS much fun!!!  :)
A few random items for today:

Red came over yesterday after work.  Supa made us french toast and cheesy eggs for dinner (YUM!) and then we went for a really fucking hot walk.  (It's supposed to be 103 this weekend, wonderful!)  We watched Love In The Wild together (Red and I love that show so much!!!) While I was chillin' with Red, Super Bass text me a photo in rememberance of my little Carolina Cooker adventure and the duck sauce room.

Part of me is very jealous that Super and Patient were having Chinese food (since I'm not having much of that lately) and the other part of me shuddered in disgust at remembering the duck sauce room of hell in that abandoned building.
:)  Either way, I'm glad that Super and Patient will forever think of APPLE DARLING when they enjoy a little duck sauce on their eggrolls.  WOOT!  Haha!!!  Good photo, Super!!

Uncle Darling seems to be able to find the funny in every situation (a talent I'm trying to learn myself) so he sent me a couple of good funnies to go with the marriage counceling, argument theme I've been dealing with and blogging about lately:

"My husband and I had hardly finished one argument when I
screwed up and started another one." said Apple.

"How'd you do that?" asked Jade.

"Well," says Apple "You know when you're done with a big fight
and your significant other suggests a little 'make- up sex'?"

"Yeah" says Jade.

Apple replies, "I guess it wasn't the right time for me to ask, 'Does it have to be with you?'"

Haha!!  Good one!!  I mean, I don't do make up sex but if I wanted to start yet another argument, this would work wonders!

This is just classic:

Because sometimes, my husband is a dick too!!!  :)
Good job, Uncle Darling!  Keep those funnies coming!  Sometimes, you just have to laugh off your situation in order to keep yourself from losing your damn mind!!!
Happy Friday, friends!

I hope your weekend is all that you want it to be....

Hooray!

Well, Supa and I just finished with our second counseling appointment.  Again, it went really well and even though we had to tell her that we argued and made an ass of ourselves, she said we were doing really well.  She expected us to argue before we came to see her again, that we're not asses, we're human.  :)  I like her a whole lot.  Even the receptionist loves us! Again, I'm so glad we are attending our sessions and getting another outlook on things.  We learned a few new tools and we are going to practice them this week and see how it goes.

Supa has to work Mon - Fri next week so I'm going to see our doctor alone (that's going to be kind of weird) and then Supa will go see her alone another time.  She said she wants to dig deeper into our own separate issues a bit so that she can help us with the big picture better.  Sounds like a plan to me!!  :)

**Thank you so much for going with me and making a real effort to better our marriage, Supa!  I SUPA love you!!  :)**

I meant to tell a little funny yesterday when I blogged but I forgot so here goes:

When I took the kids roller skating this past Sunday afternoon, Dazzle skated up to me and said, "Guess what?!  I just saw a little girl (maybe between 5 & 7 years old) over there by the wall and I said HI! to her!" The little girl said, "HI!  You look just like Dora the Explorer!!"

Awwww!  She's cute isn't she?!
LOLOL!  I thought that was so cute and I could see the resemblance.  I mean, Dazzle does have shoulder length, brown hair right now (not for long, she's letting it grow out) but she does wear glasses....My 12 year old daughter, who gave up Dora a long time ago, didn't find this too amusing but I told her that she should be happy about it.  Dora is probably that little girl's hero and that's really awesome!  Dora is a good person and she should be proud to resemble her to little girls :)  Either way, I got a good laugh out of it!

Saturday night, Jade's Grampa passed away.  He lost his battle with cancer and went to be in heaven.  Jade is okay.  She wasn't super, ultra close to her Grampa but it still is a sad event.  She will be off of work the rest of this week to be with her family and she should be.  I told Jade that of course I am here if she should need me and let me know if I can do anything at all for her or the family.  (Not that there is anything anyone can really do)

Jade:  I want you to try to remember that your Grampa is in heaven now.  He is not in any more pain and hopefully, he is having a great time eating my Grama's spaghetti and getting to know her!  I'm sure they have plenty of funny stories to tell about us!!  Everything is going to be okay, and I love you!
XXOOXXOOXXOOXXOOXXOOXXOOXXOOXXOOXXOOXXOOXXOOXXOOXXOOXXOO

Supa is taking the kids to the state museum today (Thanks again for the free admission passes, Jade!!) so they can spend some fun time together.  I gave Dazzle my camera so I'm going to have plenty of interesting pictures to post, I'm sure!  LOL!!

Happy and getting happier,

Apple Darling

What A Weekend!

Everyone knows I hate Monday's and this week is no exception.  I'm sleepy as hell at my desk and I really wish the time would go a little faster so I could go back home to my family!!  (I'm sure this is everyone's wish on Monday morning - those that ACTUALLY WORK for a living at least)  Blah!

Red Lady came over Friday after work so we could exercise and get the yard sale stuff unloaded from her truck to my office.  When we were out walking we ran into Jade who was also out walking!  LOL.  We walked together back to Jade's house and then continued on our way home where we got even more exercise by unloading Red's mountain of stuff.  :)  I was glad she brought a bunch of things to sell because I had a lot less than what I thought I had.  Oh, how I wish I wasn't such a photo slacker because I have no photo's of the stuff or the sale.  OOPS!!!

Red left so that she could get some rest and I ended up staying up until about 1AM sorting clothes and getting things ready.  I went to bed and before I knew it, it was Saturday morning.....My alarm was going off and it was time to get up and DO IT!

I got ready and started dragging things outside.  I got my very first customer before I finished setting up AND before Jade and Red showed up. (Haha, slackers!!!) By the time Red got there, she had already made about $30.00!!

We had a fun morning together.  We made about $180 between the three of us and I couldn't have been in better company.  (I think that's pretty good for chillin' in the shade while people pay you for your old junk - Gotta love a yard sale!!  We'll be doing it again soon, I'm sure!)

After we cleaned up the mess and everyone went home, I was ready for a nap!  I did a few things, took a shower and went to bed!  Supa was working and the kids were playing video games so I knew if I was napping, this was my chance.

I slept until Supa was on his way home from work.  He called to wake me up so I could get ready for DATE REDEMPTION.  We failed on our first attempt so it was time to try again!  We were not giving up!

I even got my "date" to buy me a large Icee!  They are my absolute favorite!!  ;)

I was pretty excited about playing miniature golf since I haven't in such a long time.  We had a blast and laughed a bunch.  There was no arguing that's for sure.  We did have a little friend watching over us.

See the baby praying mantis there on the ledge?  I was freaking out but I did manage to take a photo!

Supa warned me that they jump (Ha, like I was going to wait around long enough to find out!)  I hurried past him and apparently he saw us because he started running like hell down the ledge towards us!  Thankfully we have longer legs and he failed to keep up.  Sneaky bastard!

Frankie's fun park, here where we live at least, isn't in that great of condition.  It's old and needs work but I will say that their flowers were in full bloom and that made for some really pretty surroundings.  Supa took a couple of flower photos for me:

They were everywhere!!!

Along the way there were purple flowers that I had never seen before and I wanted to stop and take more pictures but there was a group behind us and we needed all the time we could to try to get our holes in one!  LOL
We DID keep score (mostly because I thought maybe I could beat Supa, LOL!!) and I almost won!  Not quite though!

SO close!!  :)  Maybe I'll be able to beat him next time?!  We'll see!  I may have to declare a rematch very soon!

When we got home, Supa started cooking dinner for us.  He made a recipe that I just found in a Rachael Ray magazine for "healthy" chicken fettuccine alfredo.  It had about half the fat and calories as normal alfredo so we decided to try it.  When you're Italian and are used to eating tons of pasta and then you can't eat it, well, it makes me a little crazy.  SO, we are looking for healthy alternatives and we found one!  Supa's "healthy" alfredo was very delicious!!  The kids loved it too and we will definitely be making that one again.

Right after dinner, Jade and Cat Mama showed up.  Cat was spending the night with Dazzle and Neon while Jade and I had a date with Super Bass and Patient Woman to play cards.  Supa decided he was going to play his video games while us women had some girl time.

Jade, these buttery nipples were actually better than I thought they were going to be.  YUMMY!!

Again, the weather was beautiful so we hung out on the back deck the whole time.  We played spades for a while and we also played my homemade version of the Pyramid Game.  Fun, fun, fun!!!

We had a great time with our new friends and I can't wait to go it again.  We WILL be going to their house next time so that we can see where they hang.  AND so we can take full advantage of the fact that our friends have a pool, jk!  :)  LOL, a girl loves to swim!

I had quite a few adult beverages that night....About 5 maybe?  So, after everyone left, I invited Supa to take full advantage of me!  Heehee!!  Well, it was fun and that sort of thing is great for keeping a marriage healthy so we should take advantage of each other as much as possible!  Supa was NOT complaining one bit!

Sunday morning when the alarm went off at 6AM,  I planned on getting up to cut the grass (it's getting to be my standard Sunday morning exercise thing) but I sure didn't feel like it!  I was slightly hung over.  I definitely had the "DAD's".  (For newbies, Day After Drinking Shits)  While I was sitting on the toilet taking care of that issue, I realized I had a slight headache.  I was pretty thankful that it wasn't pounding but I still needed some Excedrin Migraine ASAP!  Even though I was a prisoner to my own toilet for a ridiculous amount of time, I did get ready and make it outside by 6:40ish.  Supa was already gone to work by this time and the kids were sleeping peacefully.  Copper came outside to watch over me and make sure I didn't miss a spot.  :)

After cutting the grass exercising my ass off via push mower, I made the kids lunch.  We made mini chocolate chip muffins together, ran to Walgreen's and relaxed for a bit.  Then I took the girls and Neon rollerskating.

Again, I was going to skate with them but it just didn't happen.  I wanted to rest and read and that's exactly what I did.

This was Dazzle's skate foot and my "I don't think so", non-skate foot.  LOL!

After 2 1/2 hours of skating (and the kids called it quits, not me) we went back home where I promptly fell asleep on the couch for about an hour.  When Supa got off of work, he called to wake me up so that I could get up and get ready for our second phase of our date.

We decided last week that we needed 2 different kinds of dates.  One where we DO something fun together (hence, Frankie's) and one where we eat together so we can just TALK without fighting. So, we promised the kids Little Caesar's pizza and bread sticks and a movie at home so that we could go out and eat alone.  They were very happy with that arrangement (you say pizza and they are putty in your hands ;)  We also wanted to test run the kids staying home alone in the dark because Dazzle is getting old enough to handle that and any extra parental freedom would be amazing!

Date Phase 2:

Supa took me to Tsunami (Japanese steakhouse/sushi bar).  That's the same place the girls took me for my birthday dinner.  Remember this?

Supa had never been there so I wanted him to taste how good the food was!

Crab, mandarin oranges, cucumber, ginger, vinegar, delicious spices and soy.  YUM!!!
After the waiter brought our drinks, he brought over two complimentary dishes from the sushi bar for us to taste.  The above was my dish and it was sooooo super delicious!!  (And yes, I ate with my chop sticks like a big girl)  How nice to be brought a free, tasty appetizer!
Beef spring rolls with Japanese slaw.  YUM!!  Supa loved them!

I got shrimp and chicken.  Supa had chicken and steak.  Both were so great and I was full in no time!

More than half of my food got boxed up (yay, my stomach is shrinking!) and I ate some of it at my desk just now for lunch.  It tasted great left over too!!

We had a nice time.  We laughed and talked and didn't argue one bit.  We left from dinner and ran to Walmart for a few things that we needed.  We usually argue in Walmart because we don't agree on what to buy but not this time!  We breezed through without any issues.

Date Phase 2:  Success!!

The kids were fine when we got home.  They were full of pizza and bread sticks and had just finished watching Who Framed Roger Rabbit.  (Great movie btw!)  They weren't worried about it being 9:30PM and dark outside when we got home at all.  We are always blown away by how responsible both the kids are and I'm very happy to be able to get away for a little while with my husband if I need to.   Since the kids are older now, I'm starting to see that if we don't do adult things and nurture our marriage, we won't have one.  SO, I think it's time to take a little more adult time then we have in the past 13 years and maybe that will help us to remember how we fell in love (pre-children) in the first place.

So, here I am at work.  Now it's 3 PM and I'm just watching the time on the clock drag by so I can get myself back home.  I did have a couple of presents waiting on me when I clocked in this morning (that made me very happy for a Monday morning)!!

I love reading magazines at my desk (or on the toilet, haha!) and I was going to go out and actually BUY the Breaking Dawn 2 Entertainment edition so the fact that it was waiting for me when I arrived at work was a priceless surprise!  Thank you special co-worker that loves to shower me with gifts of magazines!!!  You rock!!!
I have been trying to keep myself busy since I got here and so I went to work on more presents!

Watch Dannon!  They are expiring soon!  :)

Thanks Uncle Darling!  You are so awesome!!!  Keep them coming!
Red took some of the Dannon coupons so that we could use them up before they expire.  WOOT!  Team work!
Okay, it's time for me to get back to work.  I hope everyone has a wonderful Monday afternoon!  Lolly is coming over after work for more dinner, exercise and TV and I'm ready to see her! Come on 5:23!!!

Fuck My Life!

Well, I was very hopeful that Supa and I could go out and complete our homework without issue and have a great time together but FUCK NO we sure couldn't.  We got into an argument about 5 seconds after I walked in the door from work.  SHOCKER!  I'm so sick of it!!!

We took the kids to eat dinner (in silence).  I'm sure they loved that.  Then we went back home and ignored each other the rest of the night.  (Except for the time Supa spend slamming doors and acting like a total dick)

I guess we'll try to complete our homework at some point this weekend but for now, I don't give a damn!

I shouldn't blog when I'm this pissed but whatever.  It's Friday and I'll be angry if I want to.

I don't really feel too creative today so, I hope everyone has a great weekend and I hope that Red, Jade and I make loads of money at our yard sale tomorrow morning!

PISSED,

Apple

Last Minute....

I leave work everyday at 5:23PM and right now it is 5:07 PM so when I said last minute, I wasn't kidding!!

I've been busy today and I had to watch The Bachelorette because who Emily sent home this past week was very important information that I really felt I needed.  (It was soooo good!)

Go Emily!!!
Anywho, Red Lady is coming to my house today after work for dinner and exercising.  YAY!  We are also going to run to Bilo so that we can get my coupon stuff.  I'm excited to spend time with her while we're OUTSIDE of work!  LOL!!  Nearly is also coming over to see me tonight and that means double fun!  :)  I love my girls!!!

Tomorrow, I am scheduled to leave work early (I won a cross selling contest and my prize was one hour of paid leave time from work) and Supa gets off of work at 2PM so we are going to take the kids to Fudruckers for dinner because we feel like it and because it's Neon's favorite place to eat right now.

HELLO!!?!?  YUM!!!!  Just not too much yum for me, LOL.
When we are finished with dinner, we are going to drop the kids off at home and get busy on our homework!  We are going to go to Frankie's Fun Park and putt putt together.  ALONE.  :)  I'm really excited to have fun with my husband because we don't get to have REAL fun together very much.  I'm hopeful that we can have a great time without arguing and get an A+ on our homework assignment!

Happy Wednesday night to everyone!!!

Love,

Apple Darling

Father's Day Weekend.....

Work has been keeping me plenty busy so I'm finally taking the time to blog this morning.  (I hate missing days!!)

I hope everyone had a wonderful Father's Day weekend.

Because the best cards are the hand made ones!  :)
Here's what went down at the Darling house:

Saturday, Supa had to work until 2 PM so we had time to get a few things accomplished before he came home.

First things first, I needed to get my nails done.  LOL.  The kids came with me (by brute force) because I thought they needed to get out of the house!
The more I get my nails done, the more creative I get.  I think after the fact that my lines should have been white and then the sparkly glitter would have popped even more.  Hmmmm...Maybe next week.
We went straight back home afterwards because we had a Father's Day cake to bake!!

Before!

After!!
LOL, I would like to say that Dazzle or Neon wrote on Supa's cake but no, it was me.
I know the writing looks like complete shit but I'm not ashamed because it tasted like pure heaven!  I know that's what counts most.  I didn't have any white icing to decorate the cake with so I improvised and used cookie gel.  Obviously it didn't work out too well because it was thin and it ran all over the place.  Supa giggled and dug right in!  He didn't give a damn and I knew he wouldn't!

When Supa got home from work he had these awaiting him:

LOL, he had no idea we even bought him anything!  WOO!
After he took off his tie and changed out of his work clothes it was time to open them!!!

Tee hee!!
In case you can't tell, we got him:

*Men In Black 2 DVD - We had the first Men In Black movie but not this one and I overheard him saying he wanted to watch the second one to prepare for the third installment that's coming out so he could watch it with the kids.

*an angry birds t-shirt (now he has two of them :)

*a tie/belt rack (that he so desperately needed since he has about 50 ties - which would be my fault, heehee)

*a card from me and a card from the kids (the one from the kids was a talking Simpson's card - very cute and extremely Supa-like)

*an X-Box live points card - I'm not completely sure what he uses these for but I know he likes them!

Based on the look on his face, we did a good job.  He loved everything :)

We also took Supa to dinner that night.  He picked Olive Garden :)  YUM!  We just went there for Mother's Day but the kids and I LOVE eating there so we were totally OK with that decision!

***I was so proud of myself having complete control over what I ate and not overeating at all.  It's such a liberating feeling to be able to eat what I want yet no over-do it.  AND it would be really stupid to exercise each day and then go blow it all on one meal.  I'm not that stupid!  LOL***

It was fun watching everyone else eat themselves into a food coma.....

Case in point:

This is Neon.  Very, very full and almost unconscious.   LOL!!!!

Once we got home, it was relaxation time!  Supa and I decided to watch Paranormal Activity together.  I had already seen the first one a while back but Supa missed it so we watched it again.  Of course, we sent the kids in their rooms because the movie was rated R and we definitely sensor what the kids watch.  When we were finished with the movie, the kids wanted to hear all about it.  So, we told them the basic story line and the subject of a Ouija board came up.  They had no idea what one was so we explained.

Then the conversation went towards all things Ouija and it got a little weird.  LOL
Hopefully the kids won't be asking for me to buy them a Ouija board anytime soon.  Supa is not too fond of talking to or inviting in ghosts/demons/spirits.  (I on the other hand think it's harmless fun and all a bunch of mumbo jumbo bullshit)

Supa said he loved his Father's day and he had a great time with us.  :)  SCORE!

I took a few doggie pictures this weekend:

Dazzle holding Odie.

I really don't understand WHY my little 4 pound Chihuahua looks like a demon dog!  In every picture I have ever taken of him, he has red eye issues!!!!

See!  Another red eye!

And yet again.  I love how Dazzle holds Odie like he's her baby.  LOL, poor doglet.

Copper looks pretty happy that's he's too big to carry around.  :)
Sunday Supa had to work all day so I got up at the crack of dawn to mow the lawn.  I had one hell of a time with the lawn mower.  Apparently, Supa lowered the blade (a little too low) and it was almost impossible to push.  It was so low to the ground that the blades would just stop turning and the damn thing would turn off.  Well, that's my worst fear because it takes me about 15-20 minutes to get the fucking thing started.

(It's such a piece of shit!!!  I've already announced to Supa that once we get back from our beach vacation, we are buying a new lawn mower and a sledge hammer at the same time so that I can take the old one outside and have the pleasure of beating it to death)

I did get the grass cut but it was very difficult and it took me twice as long as it should have.  FML!!!  I also weed eated (with a weed eater that I hate just about equally) BUT the yard does look amazing so GO APPLE!!!!!  Hopefully that means I burned DOUBLE the calories!  :)

We just hung out for the rest of the day.  The kids and I watched some of our TV shows together, (Master Chef, America's Got Talent) and before I knew it, Supa was home and it was time to make dinner.  TACO night!  YAY!

After dinner, Supa and I decided to watch Paranormal Activity 2.  We liked them both and I can't wait to watch the third one.....Maybe tonight???

Oh shit!  I didn't know the third one had little girls in it!  BOO!!!
Yesterday was Monday and I was super busy.  The work day flew by like crazy!

Supa did come pick me up to take me to our first marriage counseling session.  I was a little bit nervous before we got there but once we met the doctor and started talking, I forgot all about being nervous!  The first hour long session was basically just her getting to know us and asking a whole bunch of questions.  We sat on the couch together, holding hands and we answered  all of the questions honestly and openly.  She had a few encouraging words for us and she also gave us homework to be completed by our next appointment in a week:

**If we start to argue, time ourselves out.  Literally give each other a time out like people do to their kids.  Stop talking and go take a time out to calm down and then regroup later.  (We haven't had to practice this one yet but I'm sure it's bound to happen before next week)

**Write down all of our expectations for each other and be prepared to bring them with us next week.  (I have to get started on this one, I have a feeling my list is going to be REALLY long.  I know myself really well and I expect a lot)

**Go have fun together WITHOUT the kids or anyone else.  No talking about work, kids, bills or unpleasant stuff, just leave the house and have fun together like we used to.  (this one should be easy and I can't wait!)
This shit cost a whole lot more than Lucy's fee. (I feel it's going to be worth every dollar)  I'm so glad we have good insurance!!!
When we left, Supa and I both felt very positive about the experience and we are excited to go again.  We both liked the doctor too which is one of the things I was worried about.  YAY!  I'll keep everyone posted as we dig deeper into our marriage.

After the work day was over, Lolly came over to have dinner with us (leftover taco stuff).  After dinner we went out for our hour long walk.  We left the kids home with Supa this time so that we could have our girl talk time together :)  As we were walking along, I saw something dead and of course I had to stop and take a picture:
YUCK!  A dead snake!!!
So we're standing there, over the dead body and I'm attempting to take a picture of said snake with my shitty phone and it won't save the damn picture!!  As Lolly is taking this picture for me, a car drives up and stops in the middle of the road right beside us!  A man asks what is it?!  WTF...How about mind your own god damn business buddy!  So he gets out of his car and comes over to look at it.  I'm already trying to walk away (without leaving Lolly) because to me, everyone is a serial killer.  He stands there (I'm about 20 feet away at this point, Lolly in between Mr. Creeper and myself) and attempts to tell us how you can tell a poisonous snake from a harmless snake.  Newsflash buddy:

NOBODY GIVES A FUCK!  NOW GO AWAY!!!  But instead I say, "Thank you, have a good day." and wave Lolly to COME ON before he shoves us in his sedan!  Lolly said she wasn't worried because we could have taken him but I didn't want to have to break his face and mess up my afternoon exercise!  Thankfully, he took his own dead snake picture and drove on past us.  Fuck me.  Trouble and dead animals always seem to find us!

We got back to the house and I got straight on the toilet.  I'm sitting there reading a magazine, listening to Supa talk on the phone to Jade's husband when I decided to glance at my Horoscope.  (I don't usually care of believe in any of that stuff so I don't know why this meant so much to me but.....)

My horoscope said:

Clear out the clutter and make some extra cash by selling your discarded treasures.  It's not too late to have a yard sale.  Invite your neighbor to join you - It will lesson your workload and double your fun.  After the 25th, you'll want to cocoon with your honey, so make time for it.

SHUT UP!  I tore my scope out and read it out loud to Lolly, Dazzle, Neon and Supa.  They were equally as amused as I was.

I JUST made plans yesterday to have a yard sale THIS Saturday morning.  Red Lady (my neighbor at work) is going to join me and I also invited Jade (who is practically my neighbor) because I knew that we could help each other and we would have a total blast!  AND of course, I'm planning on cocooning with my husband hence our counseling homework!  WOW!  I don't think I've ever been so pleasantly surprised by my horoscope!  COOL!!!!

Lolly and I watched our show and then before I knew it, it was bedtime!

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend like I did!  I have to get back to work now!

Teeny Tiny Update

I really don't have much to report today.  Work is keeping me very busy and I haven't done anything exciting the past few days.

I did want to give a little update on something you may have read about here.  I mentioned vented my fucking head off  in one post about how I wanted to go to marriage counseling with Supa.  I feel like we have issues that might be best worked out with a third party with weapons and ninjas present so that we can avoid filing for divorce under irreconcilable differences.

Well, that was back in October and even though things may not seem as bad now as they were then, we still have issues that remain unresolved.  I had a hard time finding someone to see us that our insurance covered, had flexible hours and wasn't way across town so I gave up temporarily.

In light of our last argument (with those same fucking issues arising) I have finally found someone that meets all our criteria and we have an appointment!

Monday, June 18th @ 2 PM

It just can't get here fast enough!  I thought I would be nervous (and I still might be right before we go) but right now I'm super excited!  I think that maybe, just maybe, this might be really helpful.  I have talked to several people who are currently in counseling or have been before and not one person has had a bad thing to say about it.  I figure at this point, it can't hurt.  It's only up from here.

Wish us luck.  I'll keep everyone posted.  I think this is going to be very interesting to say the least.

Laters,

Apple

PS, I'm very proud to have a husband that is willing to go to therapy with me.  I love you, Supa.

Mish-Mash Day

There is nothing exciting going on around here today.  I'm going to bang out this blog post, try to read some of my book, watch a little TV, and research where we're going to stay during our beach trip.  (I don't understand why it has to be so hard to find a hotel room or a condo to stay in for some people this may not be difficult but I am obsessive about price and what kind of place it is so for me, it's very stressful!)

Lolly came over last night to have dinner with us and watch our show.  Good times!!  It rained almost all day long yesterday so we couldn't go walking for exercise.  Instead, I played Dance Central with the kids (mostly Dazzle) while Supa and Lolly watched.  After an hour straight, I was dripping wet with sweat and very glad to have gotten my daily exercise in without even realizing it.  That is the funnest form of exercise I have ever done!

Uncle Darling posted this picture on Facebook and I stole it so that I could post it on my blog:

BELLA!!  I miss your sweet face!
I'm sure that I've posted pictures of Uncle Darling's dog Bella before but I love this one and I can't get enough of his cute pups!!  :)

Yesterday at work, I got Grampa Darling's Father's Day card ready so that I could mail it.  I took a picture of the back of my card to show my awesome decorating skills:

Don't give me stickers.  I will go wild!  :)
I found some funny/profound/cool shit to share with everyone today.  I hope you enjoy!

If everyone thought like this, the world would be a much better place.
I love Eminem!!  He's awesome!

Absolutely!!  Watch yourself!  Teehee!

Mark Wahlberg!  Definitely profound!
21 years later and still fine as fuck!  That's why we love you Marky Mark!!!  No one will ever rock Calvin Klein's quite as well as you did!!  WOOT!

LOL, some people need to learn to own that shit!

Um, yeah, I highly doubt that gun or that flag is going to help you.
My money is on the tornado!  Nice try though.

I love Bill Cosby!!!
True, true, true!!!!  ;)

Happy Tuesday!!

HI!

Again, I apologize for my bad blogger habits.  I've been busy, busy, busy!!

I was supposed to take the kids to see R.J.A.T.W this past Saturday and go to the flea market but unfortunately he had to work so we decided to wait and go up there next time when he would be off.  We were all disappointed but hey, people have to make money so we understand!

See?  No one can blame him!

I didn't make any other Saturday plans (assuming we would be gone most of the day) so we decided to just CHILL.  I don't remember the last time we did that.  We stayed in our PJ's until after lunch on Saturday.  We watched Hell's Kitchen and Master Chef because we fucking love Gordon Ramsey!!!!.    We had lunch together and then we decided we better get dressed.  I had to run to Walmart and we didn't want to end up on a "People of Walmart" post so....We made sure we looked properly put together when we walked out the door.

Because when I take my kids to Walmart, they have fucking clothes on!!!

I don't wear shit like this at my house anyway but I wanted a proper example of what  I WOULDN'T be wearing on our Saturday Walmart trip.  :)
We ran and got the few things we needed and then we went right back home!  Supa got off at 2:00 (WHAT, WHAT?!) and when he got home, we were OFF to go tour the YMCA on the other side of town.  We were still contemplating becoming members until we saw this facility.  Holy shit, it was so nice!!  The downtown location was really cool because the building was ancient but we liked the other location for the opposite reason.  It's building was new and beautiful!  We are definitely going to get a family membership soon.  More on that later........

We were supposed to go home and cook dinner but it just so happened to be dinner time when we were on our way home and we were HUNGRY!  So, we decided to stop and get Chinese food for dinner.  (I didn't feel like cooking much anyway)  It was delicious as usual.  I love some fucking egg rolls

Sunday, I got up early and cut the grass.  Somehow this time, I managed to mow the entire yard without breaking the mower.  miracle!!!  I baked cookies with the kids, folded laundry, watched a shit ton of TV and just mostly relaxed.  I did take the kids rollerskating from 2-4 (I was willing to stay until 5 but Dazzle said her butt hurt too bad from the few falls she took to continue).  I sat on the side and caught up on my reading on my iPad.  I was planning on blogging while I waited but the Wi-Fi at the skating rink was password protected.  Damnit.

We made ground chicken wraps for dinner (Hello, yum and super healthy).  Supa and I hung out until I passed out on the couch and before I knew it, my awesome weekend was over and I was back at work.  POOP!

Mama Darling (my Mom) did call me yesterday to say that she would be here visiting from Chicago during the beginning of August.  WOO HOO!  We're all very excited to see her and I know we'll have a blast!!  Supa and I are going to take that week off so that we can hang out with her and spend time with the kids before back to school hits.   We are planning on taking a trip to Myrtle Beach during the time she is here to celebrate her birthday spoiled! and I really can't wait!

It's such a beautiful beach!!!  The kids have never been there and I can't WAIT to take them!!  :)

I'll be keeping everyone posted about our trip as I figure out the details.  Lolly is going to have to help me figure out how to book a hotel room because I don't think I've ever done that before!  (Thank you again, Supa, for working all these hours so that we can even afford to go on a trip like this!!)

I'm doing my best to help out financially with the trip SO, I have been selling or should I say trying to sell Visa's at work (remember, cross sell, cross sell, cross sell) which I get $25 for each one that is approved.  I LOVE an incentive!!!  So far this month I have 6 that have been approved!  WOOT!  Hard work, dedication!  It gets you everywhere!  :O  My personal goal is to have 10 for the month in total ($250 extra vacation bucks) so everyone keep their fingers crossed!  I know I can do it!

I hope everyone has a wonderful Monday!

Until Tomorrow,

Once A Blue Moon, It Happens

In this case "It" happens to be blogging at home. It's more eco-friendly to get paid while blogging at work and I'm alone with my own thoughts so I can focus properly. Since work has been busy lately, I decided I should try laying on the love seat and blogging while watching America's Got Talent with Supa. I think it's working. So far, so good.

I like that Howard Stern is a judge this year.  He's pretty funny and honest.

I've been going on hour long walks/runs daily for a while now. Sometimes the treadmill can be boring and the weather has been beautiful. Usually I walk with Jade. (I love that she lives around the corner!) Unfortunately, my BFF has a sinus infection and hasn't been able to walk. Lucky for me, the kids last day of school was this past Monday so they wanted to walk with me. <3

Today we saw a few interesting things:

Exhibit A:

A tree in someones front yard that had an actual face.  WTF?!  We walked all on those poor people's grass to get this photo!  Neon looked a tad bit freaked out by it.  We all joked about what the tree was about to say because if it has a mouth it can talk right?!

Jade and I have seen animals on the road on our walks. So far we've seen a raccoon (dead), a turtle (dead, too), a possum (also dead), a bird (Lolly saw this dead body, too), many yappy dogs (very much alive), cats (alive but bored) and more. The kids and I saw something new to add to the list:

Exhibit B:

I'm pretty sure that this is a dead rat.  It was too big to be a mouse and didn't look like a squirrel to me.  (Lack of tail)

Some people may thing that this is gross but I am fascinated (and always have been) by dead things.  I keep hoping that we might find a dead body while we're on our walks so that I can poke it with a stick.  :)  I probably should have been a coroner or a mortician or something in that field.

Exhibit C:

I wish to God I had a picture of Exhibit C!!

We walk past 3 way attractive youngish (18-20?) men. One was carrying an acoustic guitar, one was carrying camping gear and one was empty handed. I immediately noticed that they were openly (possibly overly friendly) staring at us and that two of these dudes were holding up two fingers in the peace sign.

We all shot them the peace sign and kept walking. Dazzle noticed that one if them had his shirt unbuttoned, lol. Neon immediately tagged the 3 of them "hippies". Little Neon, I concur! The rest of the way home that's what we called them. They were out of place on our street like the sky opened up and dropped them there. All I could hear playing in my mind was "It's raining men!! Hallelujah!!". :D

I like how for the past few years, people (definitely myself included) have been obsessed with vampires. I will love you forever, Edward Cullen!! Now it seems that we've all moved onto zombies. My son has been loving zombies for a long time (see this birthday party post if you need proof) and now I think the rest of the world is catching up.

Two of my co-workers and myself have a running joke going currently about the zombie apocalypse coming soon and how we are going to be a three person team that kicks ass and takes names. Lol!  I love pretending (until I end up with super scary zombie nightmares).
I checked out what type of zombie merchandise the internet had to offer and I found some interesting things:

Here's our uniform for the Apocalypse!!  Please, let me kill you before you use me as a buffet!

Uncle Darling sent this one.  How did he know I was about to write a zombie post?
That's right!  Tell all your zombie friends that I am NOT the one to be fucked with!

I want these for the yard!!!  Zombie gnomes kick ass!!!
I'm sure the neighbors are already afraid of us.  A little more freakiness won't matter!

I like these too!  Nice set up!  I wonder if I should just buy some normal gnomes and then fuck them up?
A flesh bracelet!!!  EWWWW!  What a great idea!!  Neon would go CRAZY over this one!
I hate shoes!  BUT these are super cool!!  Not that I could walk in them if I had them!  LOL
I Googled "zombie merchandise" for this blog post and THIS comes up:

WHAT THE FUCK DOES THIS HAVE TO DO WITH ZOMBIES?!

Oh, well.  The baby and the dog is cute.  So, we won't complain much. Google, get your shit together!  I want zombie stuff NOT cute babies and dogs!

Zombie valentines!!!  This is the background on my iPad right now  ;)

Zombie shoes for men!!

Love, love, love it!!  I sooooo want one!

This freaked me out a little.  If we start seeing zombie birds, we are in for some major issues!!
I like how his two little tail feathers look completely normal and untouched.  :)
Oh, how I wish I had this ball this past weekend when we went bowling!!!!  SOOOO COOL!!!

HOLY FREAKY SHIT!  I never thought about them eating themselves!!  <Shudder>
Talking about baby zombies...Has anyone seen the video of the "cake baby"?  The first time I saw this was on a show I love on MTV called, Ridiculousness.  I can't stop watching it!!  It's just so freaky!!!

That cake baby is crazy!!  I should learn to make one just to fuck with people.  It would be really funny to bring that to work.  I'm sure some idiots would even refuse to eat it.  LOLOLOL!!

Laters,

Apple
