My Weekend Kicked Ass!!!

Today has been completely out of control!  I am sitting here, desperately trying to blog all day (I have bunches to report!) and I'm just now finishing with most of my work.  It's 3:35PM already!!

So, let me not waste a moment of time and get right to it:

That was my opening paragraph on MONDAY when I started this post...Now it's 3:07 PM on Thursday?!  I know...what the fuck happened?!  Well, I started this post on Monday with every intention of finishing it at home but so much has happened since then, there was no way I could finish it at home so......Let's start this thing AGAIN:

I decided on Friday that I was going to go straight after work to get my nails done.  I got sick and tired of the acrylic nails and decided that I was going to go natural for a change.  (At some point, my nails need to breath right?)  So, I sat at my desk Friday afternoon and pried all the nails off.  That left my nails looking like this:

GROSS!  Those acrylic nails really tear up your real nails.
On the other hand, I usually bite my nails.  (Haha!  Usually?!   I've been biting them since as far back as I can remember)  But when you have them covered with acrylic you can't bite them so my nails have grown out a good bit (no pun intended, lol).  I decided to just let them look gross and see what the Vietnamese people could do with them at the nail place.

After waiting quite a while (I guess Friday afternoon is the worst time to get your nails done) I left with my nails looking like this:
Much better!!!
Those are my real nails!  I even have a nail bed, woo hoo!!!!  I got the gel polish on top of my real nails instead of the acrylic.  That way my nails can breath and grow and not looked all fucked up when I don't have them polished.  AND the gel polish is super thick like plastic so I can't chew on them!  It also lasts 2-3 weeks with no chipping, unlike regular polish that would be gone by the time I washed dishes twice.  I'm very happy with the way they look and hopefully they will be growing like crazy before too long!

When I got home from the nail salon, Supa had some interesting things to show me:

Supa's boss has been on vacation for a month.  She is from Sudan (that's in Africa) and went back to visit her family there.

Here is where Sudan is!  It's funny listening to her talk.  Supa says when she really gets pissed and gets going, you can hardly understand her.  LMAO!
She finally came back on Friday and she brought Supa some weird gifts :O

This is a bowl (maybe a change dish?) and yes, that is a alligator head attached to it.
All I know is that this is a real alligator head.  It scares me and I asked Supa to put it somewhere where I wouldn't have to look at it.  LOL, I don't really want to have to dust that very often.  FREAKY!

Hibiscus Tea from Africa?  Yep!  I don't like flavored teas but Supa does.
He made a pitcher of "Southern" sweet tea with these tea bags and put plenty of sugar in it.  He likes it but I still think it tastes weird.

This was the best gift!  A Puma exercise outfit from Africa!  COOL!!

A little closer look at the emblem on the outfit....Not sure what exactly it stands for.
We're glad to have Supa's boss back so he doesn't have to work 6 days a week anymore!  :)  It's also so awesome that she thought of him and brought him gifts!!  It's very cool to have something that came all the way from Africa!!

Saturday morning, I got up and left pretty early to go get my hair cut.  When I got back home, I picked up Supa, Dazzle and Neon so that we could go run errands together.  We went to Pets Inc. to get Copper and Odie some dog food and play with the puppies!  This time, I took pictures!

I gave Dazzle this puppy to hold....It had the sweetest face!!!  :)

This little cutie was only 7 weeks old!  The sign said he would grow to be about 60 lbs!

Neon was giving the bigger puppies outside a little love!  :)

Haha!  I caught this one with his tongue hanging out of his mouth!
Dazzle had a hard time putting this one down!  I quickly reminded her how puppies get really big and she's already got one big, baby puppy named Copper at home to take care of.  She promptly put the puppy down.  Haha!!
We were all in love with these wrinkled little pups but I think Supa loved them the most.

That's the side of Supa's face while holding this sleepy little sweetie.
He just couldn't keep his eyes open!  If we could have brought a puppy home on this day, it would have been this one!

I had to take a break from kissing puppies so I strolled around looking at puppy toys for a while.  I almost bought this guy for Copper but I didn't...I might have to go back and get him.

SQUIRREL?!?!?!
A squirrel that Copper could actually catch and chew on?!  This might just be too much fun for him to handle!  :)  I like how the toy is named "Squirrel Dude".  LMAO!!

I love cats.  I really do.  We used to have 2 cats but I think that I'm allergic to them in some way.  I would clean the litter boxes and basically be taken over with an asthma attack.  I don't have any explanation except for the fact that maybe, just maybe, I'm actually allergic to the ammonia in their pee.  So, as a general rule, we stay out of the kitten room and the adult cat room at the shelter.  (Actually, I've never been into either room)  Since Supa was with us and we were really into visiting the animals, we went into the kitten room.  Wow, they were irresistibly cute.  I didn't touch them but I talked to them in sweet baby talk and let them paw my fingers through their cages.

Heehee!!  Cute babies!!!

We went into the adult cat room and it was fucking cat-palooza!  There were cats EVERYWHERE!!  They were all running around freely having a grand time.  It was like a cat heaven in there!

I really should have taken pictures of cat heaven but I didn't have time because I was too busy playing with them all and holding my breath (and sneezing, wheezing).  I walked over to one counter and there was an Easter basket sitting there with a big, fluffy ball of black fur inside.  I couldn't see the cats face so I shook the basket a little bit and the cat scared the shit out of me!

It was one of those flat faced cats with the freaky, bright green eyes that usually hang around witches.  I DID get over my fear and take a picture:

This picture does this scary cat no justice.  Or maybe I'm the "scaredy cat"??!!
I won't bore you with the other details of our errands.  We finished up and went back home to relax.  I took a little nap and got ready for my girls night out!!!

To Be Continued.......

Apple ;)
