Happy New Year!

Thankfully, I made it out of work yesterday ran towards the exit like a bat out of hell with my sanity!!  I really hope today is peaceful so I don't kill someone I can get things accomplished at my desk to get ready for the 3 day weekend coming up.  WOO HOO!  Two Monday's off in a row?!  Thank ya once again, Baby Jesus!!  (I probably should be thanking the CEO of my company but whateva!!)

Practice thank you in sign language.  You never know when you might need it.

Supa and I told the kids that we would take them out for dinner last night.  I was so glad to finally be home!!!  Neon said he had a headache when I walked in the door and he had taken an Advil.  Poor fella!!  I had to change my clothes and what not so he laid on the couch, waiting on his Advil to start working.  By the time we were ready to leave he said that his head wasn't hurting anymore but he felt like he was going to throw up, maybe.  He said he still wanted to go eat because he thought maybe he was just hungry (and I also thought maybe the Advil was giving him a tummy ache??).

I would have had him wear this shirt if I had one.  He definitely was sporting the pale look.
We drove across town to Red Lobster (because that is where the kids wanted to eat) and walked inside.  Neon said he felt fine.  (I still wasn't sure because he didn't look fine)  We went inside and right up to the hostess station.  There was going to be a 20 minute wait, no problem.   I turned around to find somewhere to wait and Neon threw up all over the floor.

Right. In. Front. Of. The. Entire. Room. Of. Waiting. Hungry. People.  BAAHAHAHAHAHA!  Sucks to be them!  I apologized (quickly) to the hostess and drug Neon outside, away from people enjoying their lobster.

POOR FELLA!   He was pretty disappointed because he really wanted to eat some Cheddar Bay Biscuts.  We got right back in the truck and went back home.  Neon got on the loveseat to rest and Dazzle and I went and picked up some dinner for the rest of us.

Dazzle, Supa and I decided on pizza and grinders.  It's close to the house and yummy!

Neon was sick the rest of the night.  He did get some sleep and when he woke up this morning he said he felt "perfect"!  Weird!  He had toast and Sprite for breakfast and that seemed to perk him right up!

Tomorrow (Saturday) Supa is off (MIRACLE!) so he and I are going shopping in the morning for Dazzle's birthday that is coming up soon.  We already know what we are gettting her pretty much, we just need to go buy it.

The kids were already requesting Red Lobster redemption so after shopping we are going to go home and get them and take them there for lunch.

Then it's time to go home together and take all the Christmas decorations down.  I'm sick of looking at them.  That's about a 3 hour project in itself, even with all 4 of us helping but it has to get done.

Besides all that, I don't have any other plans so far for the 3 day weekend.  Supa is working all day Sunday and Monday so the kids and I will just have to find something to do to keep ourselves busy.  ;)   Teehee!!

I hope that everyone has a wonderful New Years weekend and be safe!

Love,

Apple

Happy Fucking Payday !!!

Today is that very day!  (Shout out to Aunt Darling for finding and sending me this awesomeness)
Today has been hell so far and it's only 1:11 PM.  Today is payday for the entire state of SC it seems.  LOL, well anyone that works for the state at least or people that get social security benefits.  Even we got paid today (YAY!) BUT we had some type of technical difficulties this morning and NOBODY'S direct deposit went into their account when it was supposed to.

That results in:

I usually take about 100 calls in an entire work day......So far today I have already taken 145 calls!!

WHEW!  I'm ready for this day to be over!!

Now it's 3:30 and the phone is still going strong!  Damnit!!  I'm going to finish this entry if it kills me!!

I mean, fuck with me in traffic and the paint on your car might just end up on my key!

Just kidding!!  I don't key cars usually because I have children to set an example for thank God they aren't always watching ;) but I loved this card.  Thanks Uncle Darling!  You make me smile have super evil thoughts!!

Monday after Christmas I went to Walmart with the kids to buy all the 1/2 price decorations for next year.  (I needed more Christmas decor like I need a hole in my head but whatev.)  I really was going for the lights so that next year we can light up the whole outside of our house.  Lights are expensive and I've always wanted to go all out.  Next year.... IT IS FUCKING ON LIKE Donkey Kong!!

We don't even have a ladder, LOL.  ;(   I will be purchasing one during 2012 so that Supa can hook the house right up!  I was really envisioning all white lights since our house is white but they didn't have any!  Instead I got all blue LED icicle lights for the house, rainbow LED net lights for the bushes and rainbow LED icicle lights to put some damn where else!  :)  I am so ready!!!!!

There will be many pictures of this monstrosity for your viewing pleasure next year.  We decorate really early too so at the beginning of November, look for these.  (My ultimate goal is for all our surrounding neighbors to loath us)  Win Win Win!  Hahahaha!!

This is pretty much what I'm thinking but I'm sure Supa won't let me go this far.  Muahahahahaha!

Damnit, I just can't seem to finish this post!!!!

That's going to be it for today folks.  Work calls (literally).

Tomorrow hopefully then,

Apple

Christmas Was Amazing!!

I hope everyone had a magical Christmas!  Ours was full of presents, fun and laziness!  :)

Jade came over on Saturday morning and we baked the pumpkin pies for her family dinner.  YUM!  She said they turned out wonderful!

Too bad you don't have smell - o vision!  They smelled super yummy!!!

Neon took this picture for me :)  Jade brought over these white chocolate covered pretzels (yuck, I don't like white chocolate) and we all teased her about how she didn't make them from scratch.  LOL.  The kids love these.
After Jade went home, the kids and I got some baking done.

These are my Grama's recipe for 7 layer bars.  They turned out really super tasty!  Fun to make with the kids too because you really can't mess them up.

We also made Grama Darling's cake cookies.  Another easy recipe the kids could pull off with very little help.
After all the baking and cleaning up the kitchen afterwards, I was already tired!  So I took a little nap on the couch while the kids played games.

Then it was time to get back into the kitchen!!  We had more food to make!

Deviled eggs!  Another of Grama's recipes!  I like to keep traditions in tact as much as possible.

The kids requested Ringtomditty which is a cheese fondue that my Grama used to make us as a meal.  You can dunk anything you want in it.  We usually do chunks of bread, hot dogs, chips, broccoli, carrots....Anything you like.  IT WAS SO GOOD!!!

I realize that I made a bunch of Grama Darling's recipes for Christmas so I decided to try a new one I found on the Internet.  Balance right?  So, this is Velveeta sausage dip.  It turned out really good and very salty.  We figured out the trick to this...Eat a little at a time so you don't SALT overload.  LOL.  I will be making this again.

My little smokie sausages.  The kids insisted that I make these.  They just love them.  Dazzle said, "Um, what are you doing with that grape jelly?"  "It goes in the sausage sauce!"  "Oh, WOW!", she said she had no idea.  "Well, don't tell your brother or he might not like them anymore!"  LOLOL
We ended up telling Neon what was in the sausages after we ate and he didn't care one bit.  :)

I just took a random picture of the table.  I wasn't even finished putting food on it.  LOL
I love Supa's Pub-Dizzle cup there....

And finally my plate.  Locked, loaded and ready to shovel in!  It was delicious!!
After we had our appetizer dinner and cleaned up the whole kitchen, we all opened one present.  (A tradition with us that Supa and I started)  Supa opened a USC hat that I got for him.  Dazzle opened Simon Flash (some new game they asked for).  Neon opened a new wrestling game for the XBox that they had both asked for and I opened a wallet that Supa and the kids got for me.  Fun times!!

Afterwards, Nearly called and she wanted to know if she could come spend Christmas Eve with us.  YAY!  The more the merrier.

Nearly hung out with Supa and I.  We just chatted and laughed a lot as usual.  Then the kids played their new game with their Daddy while Nearly and I sat at the kitchen table, playing cards and eating cookies.  :)  We had an absolute blast.

When everyone got a little sleepy, we fixed Santa and the reindeer a plate and a glass of milk.

I wrote "We Love You, Santa" on the plate to make him feel extra welcome ;)  Neon felt the need to leave him an extra note (the pink sticky)  It says, "Eat me!  Love Neon!"  We realized that the carrots I had been saving for the reindeer were moldy damn reindeer so the kids figured that the leftover broccoli would do just fine.
The white stuff on the plate is sugar.  Those reindeer need an extra boost of energy to make it through the night and I was just plum out of sugar cubes.  LOL, who the hell has sugar cubes on their table anymore?

Nearly helped put the kids to bed and then she was off!  On her way home to get in bed before Santa arrived!  Supa and I went to bed too.  The kids warned us not to stay up too late so that Santa didn't have to wait around on the roof.  :P

The next morning we got up around 7:00.  The kids had been up for about an hour.  They were just sitting in front of the tree, not touching anything, and talking quietly.  (There are many pictures of the kids in front of the tree and opening presents for your personal enjoyment if you're friends with me on Facebook.)

The tree before presents got ripped open.

The stuff in the front is what Santa left!
Odie didn't feel like opening his presents (3 bags of his favorite dog treats) so we opened them for him while he watched from his curled up position on the couch.  Copper on the other hand was all about opening some presents!  This was his very first Christmas and he was such a good boy, never messed with the tree, decorations or presents.  Until we told him he could of course.....

Grrr! Rip that present open!!

He was ripping the paper and spitting it out on the floor :)  Good job, you very smart pup!
He finally has the green brush handle sticking out.  I guess I used too much tape :)
Copper got himself a few new bones, some treats and a brush.  He was very satisfied and he opened all his presents (with minor assistance).  (I can't believe how big he is!!  8 months old now!)

The kids got everything they asked for and then some.  We got them the Kinect for Xbox and games to go with it.  We got Destiny the Udraw for the Xbox and Nana, Aunt and Papa Darling sent a package with a game for the Udraw in it.  They also got them Kung Fu Panda 2 and a few other things they asked for.  We got Neon a new pair of shoes he wanted.  There was more stuff then I even have time to mention here.  :)

Supa got a bunch of great gifts for me.  I just wanted to show you one thing that I especially loved!
My new wallet!  Don't get me wrong, I'm not all zombied out like Neon is but I just LOVED this!!  Crazy and dead sexy!  Just like me!  ;)
Aunt Darling and Papa Darling sent Grama Darling's diamond necklace for me to have.  I will wear it everyday and cherish it with all my heart!  It is super beautiful!!

I know Grama loved it and I will take good care of it for her.
After we cleaned up the huge present mess, Supa made us a big brunch.  We have brunch every year on Christmas day because we are all sick of turkey and ham.  He made biscuits and sausage gravy, cheese eggs, hash browns and pancakes.  It was wonderful and very tasty!  I was so excited about eating that I forgot to take pictures!!  HAHA!

Then we had a huge food/kitchen mess to clean up.  Supa cleaned up the whole thing so that I could call Aunt, Papa and Nana Darling on Christmas ;)  Dazzle and Neon talked on the phone to their family, thanking everyone for their gifts when I was done and then it was time to have FUN, FUN, FUN.

Supa and the kids tried out the Kinect while i snoozed on the couch behind them.  Half watching, half sleeping.  I ate myself into a total food coma.  :)

By then it was time to get up, take off my pj's, and get ready for Jade to come over!!  I couldn't wait for her to open her gifts from us!!

Jade gave me a Breaking Dawn calendar, a Breaking Dawn movie companion (which I also gave her so for laughs, we opened them at the same time), a butterfly purse mirror, a mini card wallet which I had been looking for, for months and couldn't find one anywhere and one other thing I just can't think of right now.....LOL.....

I got her a pair of Sperry shoes she wanted....(The same ones I got her for her birthday except in black this time!  WOO HOO!) some Bath and Body Works smelly stuff, AND I made her a calendar on Shutterfly with pictures of all of us over the years.  It made her cry.  MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!!  :O  We had a really nice time, talking, unwrapping, eating and drinking and just spending quality time together.  I love that girl SOOOO much!!

All in all, it was a wonderful day.  I had a great time with my little family and even though I missed Grama Darling very badly and my family far away, Supa kept telling me that everyone loves me and Grama Darling was having a great Christmas in heaven.  He really knows how to make a girl feel better!  :)  Thank you, Supa, for being an amazing husband.  I'm so lucky to have you!!

Until Tomorrow, my peeps,

Merry Christmas Eve, Eve!

MERRY CHRISTMAS, BITCHES!!!  ;)

I'm really excited for today to be over with.

Tomorrow is Christmas Eve and I am so ready to start the festivities!  I feel like we prepare for Christmas for months and then it comes and goes so fast!  I'm going to soak up every single minute of my 3 days off (Yes, I am off on Monday.  The credit union is observing Christmas on Monday since it falls on a Sunday - WOOT WOOT!)

Jade called and asked me if I would make 2 pumpkin pies for her family Christmas dinner and of course I said yes.  So, she is coming over tomorrow morning to help me make them steal the recipe and then when we are finished I have a whole bunch of food to make.  (Keep in mind it's only going to be the 4 of us as usual)

We have appetizers every year for Christmas Eve and then for Christmas day we have a big brunch after we open presents.

I will try my best to take pictures of all the food so that you can see what we had.  (Tuesday, when hopefully I can blog all about the Christmas weekend)

Monday, I am going shopping for all the 1/2 price Christmas decorations.  Supa and I decided that we really wanted to do up the outside of our house next year with lights and decorations so I'll be out looking for that kind of stuff.

Neon has a well checkup appointment with our pediatrician Monday afternoon so I'll have to run and take him to that.

I just wanted to say a little something today...I have some work I need to get accomplished since we won't be here on Monday....

AND I wanted to send a very special shout out to someone that is having a birthday today....

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, LOLLY!!!

We love you so very much and we hope you have a very special birthday!! XXOO

We had a hard time this year deciding when we could fit in Lolly's birthday shenanigans.  We are going to take her bowling (her birthday wish :) and out to dinner the first weekend in January.  (I am so ready for some girl time)  So, I will have awesomeness to report when we finally get to go out and do that.

I would like to wish everyone a very happy and safe holiday!  Cherish the time you have together, life is so short (and way too short for stupid bullshit!)

Love and happiness,

I received a pretty funny email from one of my co-workers and I thought I should share:

Wow, I'll never look at a stocking the same again!

LOL, I love this one!!

Someone should be thankful it's only their feet!!

Please, keep your mouth closed!  And don't forget to stay away from the yellow snow!!

Timmy is a genius!!

*snicker snicker!*

I love these really cool light displays!  I bet it takes forever for them to get it just right.

That's about it for today.  I have a lot on my plate at work....

I hope you enjoyed my Christmas funnies!!

Am I Boring Lately?

Part of me feels like I might be writing about boring stuff lately.  Like I just don't have anything AMAZING to say.  Oh wells.  I do what I can.

I have a bunch of randomness again today.  I guess with the excitement of Christmas coming up my thoughts are like a bowl of scambled eggs.  I am going to try my best to get my act together after Christams.  LOL  Until then, another entry of random stuff.  Much help from Uncle Darling and trust me, it's very appreciated!

This picture is entitled:  Coupon Haul By: Uncle Darling

How much did this cost you wonder??

This stuff was totally fucking free.  Yep!  A savings of 100%.  Damn you, Uncle Darling!  LOL, just kidding.  Congrats to you!  I love your job perks.  I would definitely take advantage!  Like I said before, I wish the credit union where I worked was giving out FREE MONEY!  LMAO!
(I fucking love cheese.  I wish to hell I could get it for free, we eat a lot of it!)

Uncle Darling shared some really crazy shoe photos with me.  I have seen some of these before but some of them are new to me.  I hope you like these as much as I do.  What a crazy designer!
The banana shoes!!

The beach bag shoes?

Chair shoes??  I wonder how comfortable these are?!

Sling shot shoes...Wow.  Whoever wears these have big, big balls.  Ouch!

I call these tongue shoes but I can't help but think of Kiss when I see them!

The double shoe?  These just look SO uncomfortable!  Then again, I hate shoes so who am I to judge?

The Olive Oil shoes??  Go Popeye!!

Oh, definitely the Madonna shoes!  Sweet!

The playground shoes.  Wow, so creative!!
I would never wear any of those shoes.  As I said before, I hate shoes.  I love tennis shoes but dress shoes, forget it.  I'm not wearing them unless someone makes me.  My feet are supposed to be comfortable at all times :)

Uncle Darling and I were talking about how I have been teaching Neon and Dazzle about sex and all that fun stuff so he said maybe I should share this with Neon:

LOL, I love this!
I will share this with Neon when he is like 15:

If you fuck some skank and get her pregnant you are stuck with said skank for the rest of your life so basically, it would be really smart to just keep your dick in your pants.  RIGHT?!  I won't be accepting some pregnant skank into the Darling family too easily.

I just know the kids are really going to want to kill me when they read this about 20 years from now.  Haha!

I will never stop living this!  You can say whatever you would like to BUT I have a right to speak when it's my turn and THAT is what you should be worried about.  Right on, Uncle Darling!

I'm out!  There is work to be done!!  I'm fresh out of bullshit for today.

Till tomorrow then,

Apple

More Random Bullshit

It's Monday.  UGH!  I'm tired and freezing cold at my desk.  I think it's about time to get my Edward blanket and try to thaw out.

When you're wrapped up in this, it's not hard to heat up!

This past weekend was awesome.  Saturday, I took Dazzle and Neon to see Breaking Dawn Part 1 as a surprise and they went nuts!!  They loved the movie and they talked about it for the rest of the weekend.  I took them for ice cream afterwards and that was yummy.  Neon got coffee ice cream with brownies in it (YUCK!), Dazzle had chocolate swiss ice cream with brownies (YUM!) and I had chocolate swiss with Andes mints in it (SUPER ULTRA YUM!).  Good times!

Sunday, we baked brownies.  Cream cheese brownies and chocolate chip cookie brownies :)  We also ran to Bilo to rape them of some free groceries, drank hot chocolate together while we made paper snowflakes, did some laundry, changed everyone's bedsheets, watched a few episodes of the Simpsons together (since I just decided that the kids can watch it now), ran to the dumpster and made dinner (turkey and broccoli Alfredo casserole - actually a new recipe I just decided to try with leftover turkey from Thanksgiving - SO GOOD, we loved it!!).  We missed the one person that was absent from this picture, Supa AKA Daddy.  He was home in time for dinner (WOW) and we enjoyed his company when he finally got off of work.

We had brownies everywhere !!  YAY!
It was a good weekend and I'm sad that it's over but I am very excited that Christmas is this coming weekend!!  I can't wait to see the kids faces (and Supa's too!) when they unwrap their gifts.  WOO HOO!!

Now, I have some random things to talk about and then my Edward blankie and I are going to take a nap at my desk.

<Yawn>

First of all, I have explained to Neon how babies are made a couple of months ago.  Dazzle has been talking to me about sex for a couple of years now which they are both super mature for their ages and I knew they could handle it.  So, since I talked to Neon, there have been many questions that have popped up that needed to be answered and a few joking moments....

Like this one:

I walked by the kitchen table and I saw a baby doll laying on top of a Thundercats doll.  Neon was on the couch watching TV so I asked him what was going on between the two dolls in the kitchen.  He laughed and said, "I know what that looks like Mama but they are just resting, promise."  I told him that was fine as long as the baby keeps her top on.  LOL, right?!

Then I come back into the house about 10 minutes later and I see this:

See the baby's top at the top of the picture??....She couldn't keep her top on apparently.

Neon thought this was hilarious.  I'm not too worried.  He still thinks girls are gross and he can't imagine EVER making a baby.  LOL.

One night, a couple of weeks ago, Supa's gout toe was really, really killing him so I offered to put ice on it and wrap it up in an Ace bandage for him.  He said, "Awwww!  Sure, thanks honey." and so I got to work on it.  Well, let me tell you, I'm not an Ace bandage expert.  I wrap what needs to be wrapped with no guarantee of what it will look like when I'm done.  That's what Mommy's do.  SO, when I got done with his toe it looked like this:
We laughed and laughed and laughed until we were both in tears.
Yeah, we laughed (a lot) but afterwards, Supa said "Thank you, that feels better!".  He left it on there until his foot was numb from the ice.  LOL, I'm glad I could be of help.

****Question:  Why is it that when I buy new bras Maybe once every 2 years that the new cups seem to make my boobs look REALLY pointy looking?!  I hate that!!  I wish that I could just break them in instantly so they would have that nice BOOB shape immediately.

Trust, I was going to take a picture of my pointy boobs and then I realized that Uncle Darling might want to keep his vision.  LOL, most of the time I don't follow TMI rules but today, I do.  :)*****

I told you that I was random today!!

Neon has a bear that he named "Mr. Snowflake".  He's had him for quite awhile and I don't even remember where he came from originally.  He sleeps with him, as well as an assortment of other "friends".  The other day Neon said, "Mama, I know you can't sew (LOL, true!!) but Mr. Snowflake has a hole in his butt and I don't want to throw him away.  He is 89 years old!  Can you please try to sew his butt?"  LOL, of course I told him I would try.

SO, Mr. Snowflake rode to work with me and my sewing kit.  I was able to fix his butt!  Not a very clean job but it will work.  I told Neon that I gave his bear some candy to put him in a sugar coma so that he wouldn't feel any pain and I sewed him right up.  :)  Neon was very thankful and I took a picture of Mr. Snowflake so that he could see that he was at my desk doing just fine!

Meet Mr. Snowflake :)

I took a couple of photo's of Jade's birthday celebration which I somehow forgot to post:

This is the cake I made for Jade.  She specifically requested lemon cake with cream cheese frosting so that is what she got.  I wrote on her cake with green because hence "Jade" that is her favorite color.  She said it was unbelievably yummy and that was what  I was going for.  I think I heard a couple of moans from everyone that was eating :)  GO ME!

Our Olive Garden salad....Well, the first bowl at least.....It was a delicious night!
You can read about the rest of Jade's birthday here.  Fun times, fun times!!  Oh, how I wish I didn't have to wait a year for her next birthday.  Can't I just get a do over??

I love when fabulous random things just find their way to my desk.  I had this waiting for me when I got to work the other day:

Oh, thank you thank you thank you!!!  I LOVE surprises like this!!  I can't wait to finish reading it so I can add it to my collection at home!
Alrighty, I need to go now.  I'm still freezing so I think it's time for that blankie/nap!!
Laters,

Apple
