This Past Weekend Seems So Far Away.....

Today is Wednesday and I really have missed blogging since Friday.  Monday, I was off of work and yesterday I was super busy getting my shit together from being off on Monday so....I'm finally back and ready to rock your world with a report of my shenanigans:

Friday after work I just did the usual.  Headed home, made dinner for the kids and then hung out with Jade for a little while. 

Saturday morning we got up at the crack of dawn early, got ready and headed out to the huge town of North, SC to pick up one of my dear, old friends.....His bloggy name is going to be R.J.A.T.W.  (AND WHAT?  That's what I want it to be damnit.  I make up the rules around here!!)  It took us about 50 minutes to get to bum fuck Egypt his house and then we were onward to Springfield, SC.  Another very tiny town where the awesome flea market is located. 

This time I got really smart and took a picture of the sign.
 I only managed to remember because I parked RIGHT beside it.  :O

We walked around (it was pretty cold but not too too bad) and looked at all kinds of stuff.  I did see the (Springfield) movie lady.  The same thing as my movie guy (see the definition of "movie guy" in an older post here) except it's an older white lady with $5 new release DVDS, still in the plastic people!!  You just don't get much better than that.  I bought a whole slew of new releases and some for Jade too since she gave me some movie money to spend for her.  WIN!  

R.J.A.T.W ended up spotting some really weird shirt with his name on it....So of course he bought one (see the $2.00 price tag)....I had to take a picture...



The cat is out of the bag now.  His first name is Ronnie. 

Um, exactly WTF is that thing on the shirt?!?!!  I looked up the website and this is what I learned:

This is a blog!!  Here is the link so you can check it out if you get bored.....It's kinda dumb and a little creepy, definitely weird as shit.  I'm glad that R.J.A.T.W now has a shirt unlike any other.  :) 

We ended up finished at the flea market before we expected and we had some time to kill so we drove to Orangeburg and went to the flea market there.  It was okay.  Not that much to look at really.  

Somehow or another, Neon managed to lose $6 at this flea market so now he hates it and never wants to go back again.  LOL, poor little fella.  I bet someone was really happy that they found $6 that day.

We STILL had time to kill so we rode to downtown Orangeburg and drove through the rose gardens.  I was pretty sad that it wasn't dark because they had lights EVERYWHERE (as usual) and I wanted the kids to see how nice it looks this time of year.  Oh well, at least we killed the time that needed to be killed.  When we got finished, it was time for LUNCH! 

Yes, I know the menu says "Piggly Wiggly" but it's an independent grocery store that is AKA "Giant Food World", they just sell Piggly Wiggly products.  Also, these are the same menus that they had from BEFORE I worked there which was in.....like 1996.

Of course we ate at Giant Food World AGAIN....Where else were we going to eat??!!  (Remember, I told you we were in BFE and I so wasn't kidding - places like this don't even have a Mexi-mart or a McDonalds)  Our food took forever to get to us but when it did, oh, it was delicious!! 

The kids loved the food but I definitely think they loved hanging out with R.J.A.T.W a whole bunch....While I was paying our bill, R.J.A.T.W told Neon it would be awesome if he squirted some mustard on his plate and then rubbed the mustard on his front upper teeth so he could smile at all the people walking by.  Needless to say, I had a big yellow teeth smile ready for me when I got back to the table.  I really should have taken a photo.  LOL, boys will be boys.

After lunch we headed back to R.J.A.T.W's house to drop him off.  We talked for a bit and then it was time to head to the house. 

We had to drive through North again to get home.  Nana Darling (that would be my Mom) painted a sign on the side of one of the buildings in North (for pay of course) for someone that was running a restaurant at the time.  The kids really, really thought that was amazing so of course we had to stop and take a picture:

I'm kinda sad the restaurant is closed (and has been for a really long time).  They had some good food!!

I always think of Nana Darling when I visit North and see the sign is still there :)

We got home and I was kinda tired.  We just hung out for a while, I think I took a nap and then we had dinner with Supa when he got home.  After dinner was enjoyed, Jade came over so we could hang out for a bit and then we were off!  Christmas shopping here we come! 

We went to the mall and got a few things we needed.  Then we headed to Walmart.  We were there forever!  That toy section gets me every time!  I love walking up and down isles looking for things I don't even know what they are or look like!  FUN STUFF! 

So, we had a great time.  Cutting up as usual....We were in the toy section when I decided that I didn't want to get the Astroglide (yeah, a girl likes a little Astroglide from time to time, AND WHAT?!) I put in our buggy.  I didn't feel like walking halfway around the world to put it back where it belonged, we're in Walmart remember? so I just set it on one of the toys right there where we were standing.  No big deal, right?  Then Jade started laughing her ass off and I was like "WHAT?".  She just pointed at it and said, "You didn't do that on purpose did you?"  :



WOW

"No, Jade.  I did not place my rejected Astroglide on "Lot's of Laughs WOODY" on purpose.  I promise I didn't."  But since it was so epic, that is right where it stayed.  

LMAO!  Good times, Jade, good times.

We were out shopping till midnight.  That's nothing uncommon. 

Sunday morning, I slept in (duh).  Then we got up and got some chores completed and off we were to go shopping again!  (Supa was at work so it was just Dazzle, Neon and I)  I needed to find some specific presents for Supa that we couldn't find the night before.  My mission did get accomplished and then we were back home to stay.

I made some cheesecake bites with the kids.  It was a new recipe that we tried for the first time.  They turned out really good!  We were supposed to decorate them like presents but I let the kids decorate them however they wanted to....Here was the end result:


I know, they look a hot mess but they are delicious and that's really all that matters right??

We had a lot of fun making them together too!  One of my favorite holiday activities...baking goodies with my babies!

I didn't go anywhere else Sunday except to the dumpster with Jade.  There seemed to be quite a few coupons in the dumpster that our short little arms couldn't reach so I hopped on in.  I threw all the bundles of coupons out of the dumpster for Jade to load and we did really well.  Then after I climbed out of the dumpster (not an easy feat in the least) and got back into the truck, I realized I didn't have my phone.  Jade called it and guess where the fuck it was? 

MY PHONE WAS IN THE FUCKING DUMPSTER!!!!  FML!!

So, I climbed back into the dumpster while Jade repeated called my phone.  After a few minutes of digging, my phone was successfully recovered.  (Thank ya once again, baby Jesus!)  Whew!  That could have went all kinds of wrong!

That's all for today.  I'm at my desk full from lunch and desperately trying to stay awake!
