R.I.P Dick Clark

I know that it's been a couple of weeks since Dick Clark passed away but I wanted to create a post specifically in his honor, even if I am a little late.  I do believe that Dick Clark was the best host of that time.  Ryan Seacrest describing him as his idol doesn't surprise me in the least.  I would have to say that Ryan is the best host of THIS time.  The fact that he learned much of what he knows from observing Dick Clark just means that he's a very smart guy.  (I LOVE Ryan Seacrest, btw)

Here's to you, Dick.  Missed and never forgotten.

This was (and still is) my favorite game show of all time.  Dick Clark used to crack me up!!!

I love that he served as Ryan's mentor.  I always wonder how much of himself he might have seen in Ryan as a young and upcoming host of this era.

He hung out with Michael Jackson.

He got hugs from Mariah Carey.
He sure knew how to party!  :O
Dick on American Bandstand.  This show was before my time but I know I would have been a dedicated viewer.
I love this one!!!
Dick Clark presents Kermit the Frog with the Amphibian American Music Achievement Award in July 1984.
R.I.P Dick!!  I know my Grama is keeping you busy with good conversation in heaven.  Give her a hug and kiss for me.  xxxooo

A Hodgepodge Of Awesomeness!

Today I'm just going to lay out all my random, cluster fuck ideas that I've been saving for a rainy day.  Prepare yourself.  This might not be a very pretty post.

Every now and then, you need a little wake up call at your desk.  One of my co-workers must have noticed that my heart needed to be jump started so she sent me a little gift:

Thank God for some Robert Pattinson.
Now that I'm wide awake and my bucket is positioned directly under my chair, I may proceed.  :)

The same co-worker sent me this gem of a funny.  I had to share:

It's a one stop shop for all gangstas alike!  I wish I could get my hoes and blunts at the same store!  Shiiiiit.
Honestly, I don't remember where this came from.  Facebook maybe??  It's just so fitting to me...

Get it right you dumb fucks!  I so wish I could hang this one up at my desk!!
Uncle Darling sent me this....I thought it was hilarious but I'm sure someone will be offended by it.  Get over it and laugh.  Life is too short to be constantly offended.

A guy walks into his bedroom with a sheep under his arm;
his wife is lying in bed reading.
The guy says,
"This is the pig I have sex with whenever you have a headache."
The wife replies, "I think you'll find, that is a sheep."
The guy says, "I think YOU'LL find I was talking to the sheep!"

Bahahahahahahahahahaha!!!  Too funny!!  Supa would promptly get knocked the fuck out!!

Has anyone seen the new 2Pac hologram that is performing live in concert (coming soon to a venue near you)??  Supa was don't let me fool you, still is a huge 2Pac fan when I met him.  He is the one that brought this to my attention.  Apparently, Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre got together and paid for someone else to create created a hologram of 2Pac himself so that he could "perform" on stage even through his death.  Supa watched the entire concert and he's hooked.  Me, not so much.  I'm skeptical.  I do agree that it looks pretty believable, semi-real and kinda awesome but it didn't blow me away to the point of wanting to spend my money to go see it in person.  (Supa, I'm sure is ready to run out and get his ticket.)

Without further ado, here's the video.  Let me know what you think:

I just want to go ahead and put it out there.  I have already predicted that by the time we're old, all dead artists will be recreated through holograms so that there will be hundreds of concerts completely done this way.  One day we will be able to see Whitney Houston and Michael Jackson in full concert just as if they were alive.  I'm no Farmer's Almanac but I see it coming.  This is just the beginning.

K, so I was on Twitter the other night (yes, I Tweet) when I saw a cool post by our lovely, Lady Gaga.  It cracked me up.

Just in case you fall and scrape your monster knee! I'll be there :) l love you, you bandage me up when I need it! Xox pic.twitter.com/sEVSlQXY

I think I'm going to need to purchase some of these.  I'm sure my zombie loving Neon would adore them.

Look, okay, my friend Red says "Cray, cray" all the time.  I think she got it from Ellen Degeneres and the shit is so funny that I've started saying it myself.  It means that you're fucking bat shit crazy.  Then, I came across this:

You can't really mess up using cray or swag.  You can however overuse it and THAT may result in a punch to the throat.  What the hell is yolo?  No one really says that.  Right?!

Yesterday, Lolly and I were at Walmart on our lunch break together (YAY, she works in my building now and we get to spend much more quality time together!!) shopping and looking around.  We came across this:
Yep, those are pickle pops.  Pickle juice, in a plastic sleeve, ready to freeze for your frozen Popsicle enjoyment.  Fucking what?!  I won't lie, I occasionally enjoy a swig of pickle juice but this is just taking an occasionally swig to a whole other level.  WHO the fuck has these in their freezer?  Wait, I don't even want to know.

We stood.  We stared.  I took my picture and then we walked away, forever disturbed yet intrigued.  Pickle pops, huh?  Who would have thunk??!!

J. Strawberry has had the pleasure of working side by side with me.  We have also had many life conversations about all sorts of things.  Since we have a history she knows me pretty well.  She sends me this funny today and says that it's SO me....Well, let's see what her perception of me is:

Um yeah, I would have to say, J. sure knew it when she saw it.
If you don't immediately think of me when you see this, you don't really know me.

I have a big mouth and usually I'm proud of it.  I did tell J. that sometimes, I wish I could learn to control it better but I hear that comes with age.

How the fuck I work in a call center and keep my job is beyond me!!!  I think that the job is actually TEACHING me how to control myself.  I can't just curse people out all day long and tell them what fucking idiots they are or I wouldn't have a job.  Writing this blog helps me too.  I can say whatever I want and get away with it.  Because remember, if you don't like it, you can always go read someone else's fru-fru bullshit.  No one is holding you captive on my page.  Ah, the beauty of the Internet.

And, last but not least, one more funny.  That same co-worker that sent me the beautiful picture of *RPatz at the beginning of this post just sent me this:

I have never.....I don't even have any comments about this one.  Spongebob said it all with that look on his face.

That's about it for today.  I'm fresh out of awesomeness for right now.

Until Monday,

Apple Darling

Finally, Back To Normal (if you call this normal)

So, as I said before:

I was off on Monday (still on vacation) and yesterday I was at work but I was too busy from being gone to blog.  I just started looking at coupons when I decided I had to leave.  Both of the kids were running fevers and I felt like shit.  Supa, Dazzle and I were sick while we were on vacation...I'll get to how we got to this point of sickness later.

Let's continue on from that point.

I was off on Monday but Supa and the kids had to go back to school and work.  I was still sick but I didn't think I was bad enough to go to the doctor yet.   I had a few things to do at the house (like clean out my closet and upload bloggy pictures).  Here is what I discovered in the closet:

Pants, pants and more pants

This is just some of what I pulled out.
As you can see, I had plenty to sort out.  I worked in the closet for a couple of hours, giving it a total face lift.

I met Jade for lunch and enjoyed my time with her.  Then I went back home and spent the next couple of hours working on pictures.

Tuesday, I got up and got on the treadmill before work.  I really wasn't feeling well but I figured it would just go away eventually.  I took the Neon to school and then when I woke up Dazzle, she had a fever.  Wonderful!  Dazzle stayed home to rest and I went on to work.

I was at work all day when Neon got home from school and called me.  He had a fever too.  GREAT!?!  I felt like shit and I thought I might have a fever also!  I told my boss I had to leave work and go take everyone to the doctor.  WTF?!  You gotta do what you gotta do right?!

In the meantime, back in my hometown, Aunt Darling was getting sick.  My Mom was getting sick and they actually had to take my Grampa to the hospital.  He's 88 years old so if he gets sick, he's not getting better without the hospital.  A couple of days later, Uncle Darling said that he too was sick.  FML!!   I felt so bad!!  All of this sickness was our fault.  Of course when I called to talk to my Grampa he said it was absolutely not our fault and that I shouldn't feel bad at all.  He knew I didn't get sick on purpose but I still felt bad.  :(

The kids and I went to the CVS Minute Clinic and all three of us had sinus infections just like I thought.  We were given antibiotics and were ordered to stay home until Thursday.

Long story short, Grampa got better and finally got to go home (several days later).  The kids and I stayed home on Wednesday, returned to work/school Thursday and before I knew it, it was Saturday again.

This past Saturday, Supa was off.  (A true fucking miracle after being on vacation)  We had plenty of things to accomplish.

First things first, my nails needed to be done in the worst "I just got back from vacation" kind of way.

I got the crackle polish this time and I love it!  I love how each nail looks different.
When I got back to the house, Supa, Dazzle and I took Neon to his first swimming lesson at the downtown YMCA.  He will go for 6 Saturday's until he is swimming like a little fish.  I'm excited about him learning.  I don't want to go to the beach this summer (or my friend's swimming pool) and have to worry about my youngest child (who refused up until this point to learn how to swim) drowning.  The instructor said he did really well at his first lesson.  She just thinks he needs to become more comfortable in the water and relax!

We toured the YMCA while we were there and of course we want to become members.  Maybe one day soon but not right this minute.  We'll have to think about it some more.  I did take some pictures of the building.  It was really cool!

The ceiling (photo by Dazzle) was vaulted and very pretty!

I liked the YMCA presidential hallway ;)  That is a photo of every person that was ever president of the YMCA.
 Very historic.

The exercise room (one of them) with the indoor track.  It was super nice with a great window view.
After we finished with swimming lessons, we went to Lizard's Thicket and had some lunch together.  Then we were off to look for some summer shoes for the kids.  Surprisingly, we only had to visit one shoe store before we were victorious.  Then we ran to Target and back home again.

Jade came over to see us that night.  We just hung out and I went to bed early fell asleep in the couch quickly

Sunday when I woke up, I realized there was only one banana left and I wanted it so....

Everyone thought it was hilarious that I called a banana an apple but that is not what I was going for!  I was marking it Apple so that no one would eat it!  It was mine!  In the end, I ate the apple, er, banana.
After my fruity breakfast, Jade brought Cat Mama over to hang out with Dazzle and Neon and off we went to the flea market.

The movie guy was not there AGAIN.  (I don't even want to talk about my DVD withdrawals.  I already announced to Supa that if that slack mother fucker wasn't there next week, I was going straight to Walmart).  The Mexican people that sell the super cheap fruit were there though!  I got a watermelon, cantaloupe, pineapple and cucumber for $8.00.  Wow.  Right up my cheap ass alley.  We walked around for awhile, loaded up with fruit, ran by the dumpster, ran to Bilo and then were back home for lunch.

Supa worked 7-6 so the kids and I had to keep ourselves busy.  I cut up fruit and got dinner ready.  We spent quite a while in the kitchen getting everything ready for Monday.

Fruit for our lunch boxes all week!  YAY!

By the time Supa was home, dinner (ground chicken breast wraps - think mega healthy) was eaten and cleaned up, I was ready to flop on the couch which is exactly what I did.  :)

What a great weekend.  Now that we're all feeling better, hopefully we can resume life as we know it.  (No blog title pun intended)

Until tomorrow,

Apple Darling

Yeah, We're Back (or something like that) Part 5

This is the final post of our vacation/return.  I hope that I remembered all the details.

So, when I left off, we just started driving and I was all nice and calm on Xanax.  :)  I slept all night long (kids too for the most part).  Even when the sun came up, I kept on snoozing.  I was still sick as shit and taking medicine so I'm sure that helped.  Again, we decided we just wanted to get home as soon as possible (since we had to go home in the first place) so we just went through the Burger Kind drive through and grabbed something for breakfast.  After breakfast, I took a nap and when I woke up the next time, we were on our street, about 2 minutes from the house.  :)  The ride seemed short to me since I slept most of the way.  Supa did such a good job getting us home safely.  I never worry.  He's a beast behind the wheel.
Maybe he activated beast mode before we left.  I'm not sure.  The only mode I knew about was ZZZZZZZZZZZZ mode.
Saturday, we unpacked the van and brought all the shit into the house, ate some lunch and then Supa passed out on the couch for a good while. He was tired and we knew he needed to rest.  The kids helped me unpack the everyday stuff (suitcases, dirty laundry that needed washing, the cooler, whatever).  We didn't unpack anything that we brought home from Grampa's house because I needed Supa's help and Jade was coming over on Sunday to help as well.

The dogs were SO happy to see us!!  We all got peed on because the excitement was just too much for those little pups to handle!  I didn't realize that I missed them THAT much until I saw their sweet, furry faces!  I hate leaving my family but on the other hand, it was good to be home in our own space.

Jade came over just for a few minutes to hug and kiss us and promised she would see us on the next day.

We slept good in our own beds that night.

Sunday, Supa and I got up and ran errands.  We needed supplies since we had been gone.  We ran to a few different places and got groceries for the week.  That afternoon, the unpacking of the new stuff began.  Jade, Supa and I also had the chore of moving other stuff so that we could find room to incorporate the new stuff.

There was one separate visit from the Easter bunny that resulted in a pretty whacked out hair piece.  Yes, this is weave.  My daughter got weave for Easter.  FML.

Let's just say the weave went for a trip in file #13.  Bye bye, nasty weave.
Mada took the kids to an all candy store called Sweet Street and told them to pick out anything they wanted. Dazzle, of course, was reasonable. (but reasonable is not something that Neon is equipped to handle as of yet) He came back with an entire bag of candy including:

Yep, that's a Sour Flush candy toilet.  Wow.  Only Neon.  WTF?!
Grampa used to make all kinds of things in our basement.  If Grama needed a shelf for something, he would go downstairs empty handed and he'd come back upstairs with a new shelf for her.  No problem.  Well, a long time ago (very fucking long ago, before I was born maybe) she told him that she needed a shelf that could hold all her coffee mugs that she collected.  Poof!  The shelf was created and hung in the living room where it housed coffee mugs for a very, very long time.  This year when I got home, the shelf (along with mugs) were missing from the usual spot.  I saw the shelf in the sewing room and I knew I just had to take it home with us.

The shelf I'm talking about is the one on the left.  Some of the things on the shelf were mine to begin with and some of the items are from Grama Darling's dresser and glass cabinets.
Supa mounted the shelf for me and Jade and I found places to put things.  I'm so proud to have a shelf that my Grampa made so long ago.

These are my DVD cabinets.  Some of the babies on top came from Grama Darling's porcelain doll collection and some of them already belonged to me.  The decanter up there was from my Grampa's house and it's very old also.  I'm proud to have these items and I will cherish them always.

More of Grama's babies mixed in with my things.  I kept the porcelain dolls that I remembered her having for a long time.  Those hold the most meaning for me.

The picture to the right and the blue lighthouse picture in the background were both paintings that I happened to find in the sewing room.  Uncle Darling painted one of them in 1979 (Supa was 3 at that time) and the other one in 1981 (the year I was born).  I asked Uncle Darling if he wanted them and he said to throw them in the trash!  WHAT?!  No way!!  Look how colorful and beautiful they look on my walls!  :)

Don't pay attention to all the shit sitting there.  Look at the wooden tray underneath all the stuff.  Grampa made that also.  He made it for Grama and she kept all her perfume and dresser stuff in it for many years.  I couldn't throw it away.  Now it can hold my kitchen counter stuff for me
Sunday flew by and before I knew it, it was time for reality which means back to school and work.  YUCK!

I hope you enjoyed our vacation adventures as much as I enjoyed recalling them for you.

Back to our regularly scheduled bloggy posts tomorrow,

Apple

Yeah, We're Back (or something like that) Part 4

Wednesday, Aunt planned on having a memorial dinner for Grama Darling during lunch time.  SO, I made deviled eggs, Supa helped Mom chop up veggies for the veggie tray, and Supa and I went and picked up Italian beef from the neighborhood Italian restaurant that makes amazing Italian beef.  (Grama used to make it all the time but it's hard work and time consuming so we cheated.)

We had a few of our close family members over and got busy pigging out!  I felt Grama all around us!  She would have loved what we had to eat too!

This was my plate plates.  Wow, it was wonderful and I was so full!  Uncle Darling made the pasta salad.  YUM!
We all helped clean up the big food mess and when it was all squeaky clean again, Supa and I ran to the thrift store to drop off a huge donation of things that came out of the sewing room.  I hope someone can make use of some of it.

I ate too much at lunch time and for some reason I felt SO sleepy!!  I climbed in my Grama and Grampa's bed and took a nice long nap.

Mom kidnapped the kids and took them to the state park while I napped. I gave Dazzle my camera and told her to get some good shots.  She didn't disappoint.

She made sure to keep identities hidden for her Mom's bloggy purposes :)

What a pretty picture of the river!!

The trees are so vibrant this time of year!  What a great green color!!

Another great picture!  He looks like all he needs is a fishing pole and a bucket!  :)

This was one of Dazzle's favorite shots.  She likes that she captured the ripples in the water.

Dazzle even captured this picture of my Mom and Neon with BOTH of their identities hidden!!  Wow!
There is a drive-in hot dog stand in the town that I'm from that has the best hot dogs that I've ever had.  The fine establishment is called Jaenickes.  That's what we had for dinner.  Unfortunately, I scarfed my hot dogs down so fast that the idea of taking a picture of what I was eating was completely lost.  LOL, food that good makes me lose my mind for a minute.  Jaenickes is a family owned restaurant so even Google images couldn't help me out.  Use your imagination.

<Insert amazing picture of the most delicious hot dog on the planet right here>

Thursday, I woke up full blown sick.  Sinus infection.  Wonderful.  No wonder I felt so wore out and needed a nap the day before.  I was catching Supa's crud that he gave to Dazzle!!

I got up, sick as shit, and drug my ass off to breakfast.  I wasn't going to miss my biscuits and gravy for nothing!

HELLO YUMMY!  Those biscuits are homemade!

Supa got an omelet which he promptly covered in hot sauce!

Grampa and Aunt split corned beef hash, eggs and toast. See the spoon resting on top of his coffee cup?  That means he's not ready for a refill yet.  The best part?  The waitress knows what that means :)
When we got back home from breakfast, Mada came over to financially advise us some more.  It's interesting stuff let me tell you.

We had Taco John's for lunch (yes again).  When you only get it once a year, you get it!

My Grampa informed me that he wanted me to clean off my Grama's dresser (including the 3 packed shelves over the dresser) and also the 3 glass cabinets in the dining room.  He said I needed to take everything that I wanted home with us.  Supa and I worked on that for a while.  We got some huge Rubbermaid containers (rescued from the sewing room) and a couple of dusting rags and got thing packed and organized.  It was hard and I had to swallow my tears a couple of times but I wasn't about to let my Grampa see me upset (in fear of making him upset).  (pics of the items we saved later)

After we were finished, it was time to go to Walgreen's and get me some medicine.  I was feeling pretty bad.  (Dazzle took it all!  LOL.  She was getting better but I wasn't.)

I went back home, took medicine and went to bed.  We were supposed to take the kids bowling with Grampa but Supa helped me make the difficult decision that I was too sick to go and that we would all just stay home and rest.  Poop!!  I never wanted to be well so much in my whole life as I did at that moment.

We had leftovers for dinner.  No one really felt like eating so we just had a quick bite.

Friday morning, I woke up with the huge feeling of dread that I normally get when I know I have to leave my family.  Most people don't understand how I feel since their families live down the street from them or at least within reasonable driving distance for easy visiting.  It takes a huge emotional toll on me and Supa is trained on how to handle my stress of leaving so I lean on him pretty hard.  I pushed my horror to the side and went to get my biscuits and gravy just one more time. Sivart met us for breakfast and that was a nice surprise.

After breakfast, Aunt, Grampa and Sivart took the kids to explore another park near our house and to see some ducks that live there.  Supa, Mom and I ran some travel errands.  Gas, ice, grocery store (for much needed caffeine) and then we had to go back home and pack.

Packing:  Well, since we were leaving with four times more stuff than we brought with us, you can imagine what a challenge that was.  Aunt had to come outside and help Supa figure out how to fit it all in the van.  Fml.  I was feeling so shitty that I hardly helped.  Supa basically did everything while I just pointed to where he should move and pack stuff.

It wasn't as bad as this van but it was pretty fucking close to full capacity.  We tried to get the kids to ride on top (we would have tied them down) but they declined.  Damn.  LOL!!
Aunt Darling and Mom had to work during the afternoon and after we finished packing, there wasn't much else left to do.  Supa went upstairs and went to bed so he could sleep the day away and have enough energy to drive all night long to get us home.  I sat in the living room with the kids and Grampa for a while but eventually I had to take meds again and lay down.  I slept for a long time.  Dazzle and Neon watched over their Grampa and they were so quiet and good.  I was super proud of them.  Dazzle got me up and said it was dinner time so I promptly called Domino's so they could feed us.  I just wasn't feeling good enough to make even a sandwich.

We hung out with Grampa after dinner.  We watched some TV and talked about our upcoming trip back to SC.  At about 9 PM, Supa woke up and came downstairs, Mom got home from work and we made sure we were all packed and completely ready to go.  The kids and I went upstairs to take our showers, put our travel clothes on and make our last sweep of the apartment.

When I realized it was about one hour before we were leaving, I took that second Xanax that Jade gave me.  I knew I was going to bawl my eyeballs out (because I have for the past 21 years each time I have to tell everyone goodbye) but I didn't want to because my nose was already out of control with being sick.

By the time Aunt Darling got home and it was time to say goodbye, I was nice and calm.  Dazzle was hysterical (I wish I could have given her a Xanax!) and Neon was just ready to go to sleep in the car, I think.  We hugged, kissed and thanked everyone bunches and then off we were!  Our long drive back home began....

To Be Continued...........................

Please don't hate me.  There is only one more post left!

Yeah, We're Back (or something like that) Part 3

Good morning, friends!!  It's Monday morning (and I would usually be half asleep at my desk) but today I got on the treadmill before work so I am wide open!!  I'm ready to hopefully blog you to death and get the rest of this vacation post completed between today and tomorrow.

Where did I leave off?  Oh yeah, Sunday night we had leftovers for dinner and on Monday......

Dazzle wasn't feeling too good.  I guess she caught Supa's stupid sinus infection.  I had to have Aunt pick her up some meds and start drugging her up right away so she didn't feel bad for too long.  Poor Dazz!!

Aunt Darling set us up to have a meeting with our cousin, we'll call him Mada Darling.  He's a financial advisor and he gave us some great information (to think about) about planning for our future and retirement.  I'm glad that we have someone that we really can trust to help us out financially.  That is very important to me.  Good idea, Aunt!!

After meeting with Mada, Grampa, Aunt, Supa, Dazzle, Neon and I went to Applebee's for lunch.  The Applebee's at home are disgusting so I was hesitant but we had a really great lunch!  I was pleasantly surprised.  The service sucked and the waitress needed to get a clue but the food was good.
You passed this time Applebee's.  I guess we might try you at home now.  We'll see.
We kind of hung out for the rest of the afternoon.  Getting our relaxation on was fine with us!

Another one of my Aunts invited us over for dinner and she had a pretty big spread waiting for us.

Yeah, so this is probably one of the reasons I gained like 10 lbs. while we were home.  LOL
We had a nice visit and then it was back home.  Too full to do much else, I think we went to bed early this night.

Tuesday morning when I woke up, I saw the pile of laundry that had collected, let out a little shriek that I let it get that bad and announced to Supa that we HAD to do laundry TODAY!!  LOL

Aunt said when the laundry is higher up than the stove, you have clothes issues.  Haha!

After a load of laundry was started (by Supa), we were off to have breakfast at our favorite breakfast spot, Blues Cafe.  Blues has been open for a very long time.  Longer than I have been alive.  This is the type of cafe where you see the same exact people every single time you go.  Even if we only eat there once a year (or several times during one visit, once a year) we see the same exact, faithful patrons having breakfast and sitting in the same booths.  It's so cool to see that!  Grampa, Aunt, and Mom eat there every Saturday morning.  It's been a tradition as long as I can remember.

They have the BEST biscuits and sausage gravy I have ever had, anywhere.  And I am one hell of a food critic if you ask me.  I've eaten it all, twice.

My plate.  Just looking at it again made me start drooling!!

Dazzle's bacon and cheese omelet.  YUM!  She ate the whole damn thing!!

Neon's pancake and bacon.  He can only eat one because they are pretty big.

Guess who else got biscuits and gravy??!!  Supa!  :)
When we were finished with breakfast done licking our plates clean, Aunt suggested that we take the kids to do something fun for a while.  We decided to take them to the Exploration Station (a hands on kids museum) that is only a few blocks away from our house.  We've been there several times and we never get sick of it.

The outside of the Exploration Station.

Dazzle serving me pizza and charging me an arm and a leg for it!!

Okay, even I was creeped out about walking into THIS....The dragon's lair!!

Mom drew the penguin on the left.  Dazzle drew the little penguin to the right.
I expressed my love for all things Edward Cullen.  :)
When we came across the dinosaur room, I found some awesome (semi-smart ass) wall art that I immediately fell in love with:

Sometimes, I need THIS much motivation!  Especially in the mornings!

What a cute idea for a kids room!!  :)  I made sure to stand right next to the kids when I saw this.
I didn't want to get eaten!

Because if you don't, he has plenty.
We had a blast as usual.

When we got back home, Uncle Darling was there to visit.  We sat around for a while, playing "Draw Something" on all of our electronic devices.  (If you haven't downloaded the "Draw Something" app on your phone or electronic device yet, go ahead and do it.  It's so fun!  It reminds me of the old game show "Win, Lose or Draw".)

Aunt Darling said, "I have to draw Adele.  What is that?"  Baahahahahahahahaha!!  Apparently, Aunt has been living under a rock!!  I said, "Um, 9 time Grammy award winning singer, Adele."  LOL, she's forgiven but I swear I'm making her an Adele CD so she can understand.

Mom is a pro at "Draw Something".  I'm kind of jealous.

People that draw or paint professionally should be banned!  LOL  Seeing as how the artist gene skipped me completely, she is way out of my league!
We decided it was a good time to go to Uncle Darling's house and visit his 13 foster dogs.  Supa, Mom, Dazzle, Neon and I ran to Ultra to get a few groceries and then we were off to see the pups!!  (I had so much fun petting them, I didn't take very many pics)  There were so many dogs that I had to write their names down:

He has :  Bella, Brady, Max, Bree, Cubby, Parker, Baxter, Harvey, Harley, Anna, Buster, Brandi and Hershey.  That is a mouthful if they are all misbehaving at the same time!!!

This is Neon running through the yard and a few of the dogs chasing him.  They were barking their heads off and sniffing us like crazy!  For some reason, every time Neon ran, they ran after him!  It was impossible to get them all in one picture.

Max!!  Max is one of my favorites.  He is pretty elderly and one of the only pups that would let me hold him.  He was so sweet and warm in my arms!!  :)

Another one of my favorites, Bella.  She loves anyone that has hands ready to pet her!  :)
This is a picture that Uncle Darling sent to me a while back.
Just to clarify, Uncle Darling is not an animal hoarder :)  He and his wife foster dogs that were abused or neglected.  They have 13 now but they are all small sized dogs, mostly dachshunds.  I'm glad they could give them a loving home and I know they sure are fun to play with!!

Afterwards, we went back to the house.  We were all missing Odie and Copper already and then after we visited Uncle Darling's dogs, we were missing them even more!  Nearly came to the rescue and sent us some pics of them!

Aww! Sweet Copper behaving at home with Nearly!

Odie, on the couch as usual.

Mom, Aunt and the kids made some birdseed art out back:

They lay the birdseed down in patterns so the birds and squirrels will be entertained while they eat.  ;)

Aunt and I finished cleaning out the sewing room and then it was time to cook dinner.  I cooked dinner for all of us.  Supa did help me (in between loads of laundry).  I made meatloaf, homemade mashed potatoes and veggies.  It was yummy and we were pleasantly surprised when Mada's brother, Sivart, stopped by to have dinner with us.  Good food, good company!  Yay!

After Sivart went home and dinner was cleaned up, I was beat.  Supa finished the last load of laundry  (Yes, he washed, dried, folded and carried upstairs all the laundry.  :)  That was a really nice, big help.  Thank you for being so sweet, Supa!!!) and I was ready for bed!!
