Now it's down to business time!!
#1: Mr. Brightside By: The Killers
I have another song by The Killers that I really like (Somebody Told Me). I heard this one on Pandora and it's also very good.
Okay, that was the first time I had ever seen this video and it was fucking great. I like the line "It was only a kiss". What great and creative costumes and makeup!
#2: Starships By: Nicki Minaj
This is my new favorite song right now. I'm not that big on Nicki Minaj. I like maybe 2 or 3 of her songs but I LOVE this one!! She just performed it on American Idol the other night and it grabbed my attention right away. Supa and I both agreed that we had a hard time watching the actual performance because we were waiting for Nicki's boobs to come bouncing out of her top and slap someone in the face. She adjusted them a few times but they stayed in her top
This video sucks but all of them sucked and for some reason, I could not find the official music video!! POOP!! Here's another one where you need to just close your eyes and listen.
#3: Shut Your Eyes By: Snow Patrol
I love many songs by Snow Patrol. Chasing Cars, Set The Fire To The Third Bar...Just to name a couple. This one got my attention and I actually heard it for the first time while shopping in Publix. LOL, go figure.
#4: Sorry For Party Rockin' By: LMFAO
Some people absolutely hate LMFAO but I like them. I think their songs are kind of dumb yet catchy and perfect for exercising or just forgetting your problems for a few minutes while singing along. They crack me up with their dumbass live performances and as much as some people would like to see it, I don't think they're going anywhere anytime soon.
I love how David Hasselhoff shows up in the most random of places!! He gets paid to just show his face! Craziness!! I think it's pretty cool that LMAFO is also a Uncle/Nephew team. They sure are different, I'll give them that.
#5: Gunpowder and Lead By: Miranda Lambert
I know, I know. I am a self-proclaimed country music HATER. I do hate country music. I also have huge respect for amazing country singers like Garth Brooks, Reba, Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, Shania Twain....I like some of their music. (Few and far between) But I do not seek out new country songs or artists. I generally do not listen to country if I can help it. SO, why is this on my list of songs to download?? Well, I heard it on American Idol the other night while I was watching it with Supa. Skylar sang it really well (I like her because her voice is amazing and she sounds just.like.Reba.) and I thought it was a good song so I downloaded the original, still a really good song.
Even if you don't primarily listen to country music, give it a listen. You might actually like it! It surprised me, that's for sure.
The video above is Miranda Lambert singing live. Those are some high powered and very serious lyrics and I totally agree!! I saw another video of her singing this song and before the song begins she holds up a sign that says "Chris Brown, take notes" Wow. I guess that was right after he beat Rihanna's ass and she decided to send him a message. Just wow. She even asked the audience to "Please get a good look and take pictures to post on Facebook and Twitter". That's what you get Chris Brown!! Go beat on someone your own size! What a loser!
Here is the video of Skylar from American Idol singing this song. She did such a great job, I just had to post it.
That gave me goosebumps. Just being honest.
That's all for today folks.
Laters,
Apple
