On top of being tired, we have two people on vacation today and one slacker that called in sick (yeah, on a Monday, whatever - what are the chances??) so the phone has been ringing off the hook. Wonderful. I'm not even really awake and I don't have time to pee. That just makes me HATE Monday even more this week. Fabulous.
Anyhow, enough complaining. I'm alive, I have a great job, and I'm having lunch with my sweet pea of a husband therefore, I'm good. :)
This past weekend was fun. Supa worked all weekend so the kids and I kept ourselves busy and it wasn't hard. I had errands to complete.
**Saturday was the 2 year anniversary of Grama Darling's passing. It was a very hard and emotional day for me. I tried to stay busy to keep the blues away and that helped but of course, never makes me completely happy. The kids kept me as entertained as they could, Supa sent sweet text messages from work and everyone just cried with me when I cried. I don't know what I would have done without all the love and support.**
Saturday, the kids and I went to the hair salon so that I could get my hair cut. I needed my cut to be sharp for our upcoming vacation next week. The girl did such a great job. It looks awesome! Last time I got my hair cut, I didn't really like it. The girl cut my hair into bangs which I didn't want and she didn't cut the back short enough. Isn't it funny that you can't tell how much the past haircut sucked until you get it cut and it looks amazing?? LOL
We then went to the pet shelter so that we could get Copper more puppy food and chew toys (cow hooves)
We then continued on to the mall. I had a couple of things I had to get that I can't get anywhere else. (Gifts so we won't talk about them right now) We stopped in Hot Topic to look at the Hunger Games garb. Dazzle went crazy and wished like mad that she had brought her money with her (Lesson #1: Never go to the mall without your cash flow, little Dazzle!!) I promised that after the Easter bunny visits us (because you never know what he might bring) I would take her back to the mall so she could buy what she wanted

She wanted the pin and of course the fleece throw blanket (not pictured here). They did have some cool stuff, I will admit! |
We had some lunch together at the mall when we were finished shopping. Neon, pizza. Dazzle, Subway. Myself, Bourbon chicken. YUM! We kind of all shared and had bites of each other's food. The best of all three then!
After lunch, we took it to the house. I had a few small projects I wanted help working on. (Cleaning out my closet shelves and taking stock pile inventory) We got those things finished, worked on dishes and laundry a little bit and then it was time to watch Grease. This was the first time the kids had seen it and it was really fun watching them discover the only musical I have ever loved. They liked it a lot. Good times.
I got ready after the movie to go out to eat dinner with Supa when he got home. We took the kids to San Jose (yep, Mexican again). It was really fun all being together for once. We just hung out and watched some TV together after dinner and then it was bedtime.
Sunday, the kids and I ran more errands together. We went by the flea market (no movie guy again!!!!), tried to find a nail salon that was open on Sunday (no dice there either), and went to Walgreen's to drop off a home movie (in VHS form) that I am getting transformed into a DVD. (This is my new project, home movie and photos. This will be the first VHS of many that I have transferred to DVD.)
I was planning on going to Goodwill but since they don't open until 1:30 on Sunday, we decided to go home and have some lunch and then venture back out afterwards.
Later......
We went to CVS and printed out some photos for a picture frame project that I'm working on. Now (and I know this is mega creepy) you can sign into your Facebook account at the Kodak kiosk and print pictures from your photos or from any of your friends photos. SO, I stole pictures from Uncle Darling and Aunt Darling because they had cool family pics that I didn't have! (I brought my supplies and hopefully I can work on that at my desk today)
Then we went to Goodwill so I could look for some "new" pants.

I don't really give a shit how much money I have. I will always shop for clothes first at Goodwill. I have found some super stuff there and I paid little to nothing for it. Just how we like it!! |
The rest of the day was history. We ran to Sonic and had a little snack together before we went home. Once we got home, Dazzle and Neon finished a painting project they were working on for Easter, I downloaded some new music (more on that later in the week), worked on dishes, laundry and other "Monday" type stuff. The kids took turns in our jet tub (they needed to get into the "hot tub" and relax their muscles they said, LOL.) while I baked double chocolate cookies and banana bread for the week. I also cooked dinner, ate with the kids, cleaned up the mess and waited
We had a great weekend and I'm glad that this is the the final week before vacation. I'm so ready to see my family, it's not even funny.
I HAVE to go. The phone is going berserk and I'm really surprised I got this much typed out before I had to call it quits.
Till tomorrow,
Apple
