R.I.P Dick Clark

I know that it's been a couple of weeks since Dick Clark passed away but I wanted to create a post specifically in his honor, even if I am a little late.  I do believe that Dick Clark was the best host of that time.  Ryan Seacrest describing him as his idol doesn't surprise me in the least.  I would have to say that Ryan is the best host of THIS time.  The fact that he learned much of what he knows from observing Dick Clark just means that he's a very smart guy.  (I LOVE Ryan Seacrest, btw)

Here's to you, Dick.  Missed and never forgotten.


This was (and still is) my favorite game show of all time.  Dick Clark used to crack me up!!!



I love that he served as Ryan's mentor.  I always wonder how much of himself he might have seen in Ryan as a young and upcoming host of this era.



He hung out with Michael Jackson.



He got hugs from Mariah Carey.

He sure knew how to party!  :O

Dick on American Bandstand.  This show was before my time but I know I would have been a dedicated viewer.
