We got to the theater right around 2 hours early. We weren't sure what kind of line we would be looking at and we wanted amazing seats. (Only losers get the last minute crappy seats)

Hello sweet, sweet beautiful theater!! |
Of course, I got our tickets early....I believe I wrote about that here. All we had to do once we got to the theater was have them swipe my debit card and our tickets would print right out. I was so ready!! They swiped the card, printed out the tickets and then we took them to the ticket booth on the inside so we could go sit in line for the IMAX screen. (There were already people lined up on the floor of course but not too many) We give our tickets to the teenager and he says, "You are in theater 7." I was like, "Um, excuse me, no we aren't! We're in the IMAX theater room." He said, "No, ma'am. You did not buy IMAX tickets. These are regular tickets." Um, excuse me, what the fuck did he just say to me????????
So, I said,
"NO, we did not! I did purchase IMAX tickets! We are supposed to be in that line over there!!!"
After he checked me out to make sure I didn't look like I was packing a gun, he advised me to go talk to the people outside at the ticket window. <SIGH> So, off we went to the ticket window. I felt like I was going to puke. We talked to the guy at the ticket window and he basically said, "IMAX tickets did not go on sale until today (WTF? The internet LIES) so it would be impossible for you to have bought the IMAX tickets ahead of time. Second off, there is nothing we can do about it unless you buy a brand new ticket all over again." WHAT?! What about these tickets we already purchased?! Can't you just upgrade our tickets???? Nope, sure can't! What in God's name is going on here?! It was like I was just dropped into the Twilight Zone (no pun intended what-so-ever) or possibly the deep, deep depths of hell. I really thought I was going to puke up my crab legs. We were just standing there, contemplating what to do (we actually thought we were going to have to scalp our tickets right there in front of the theater so we could buy the IMAX tickets) when Jade said, "Hang on a minute. Let's try to go inside and talk to a manager." Thank God for level headed Jade with her grand idea!!

Can someone please get me a fucking manager please?! (Except our manager was a woman) |
Basically, here's what she said:
-- She will let us pay the difference ($3.00 extra for each of us) and we sure can see it on the IMAX screen. No problem. (I loved her from the beginning)
BUT
-- There is absolutely no difference in the film viewed on the regular screen verses the IMAX screen. The reason being is that the movie was not officially filmed in IMAX, therefore, the only plus to viewing it on the IMAX screen is that the actual screen itself is bigger. She would be happy to accommodate us but she doesn't want us to be fooled into paying extra money for virtually no damn reason. Wow, really lady? Thank you sweet, informative, IMAX theater manager. We appreciate your helpfulness, honesty, and patience!! You deserve a raise!
After a quick discussion with the girls on what we thought we needed......We decided we would stick with what we had and go on into theater #7. Who wants to sit on the floor in line for no damn reason!?
(And now, I feel like an idiot for seeing Eclipse on the IMAX screen. *JFTR....Whoever talked me into doing that is now known as a complete dumbass for this obvious reason and for other reasons discussed in previous posts.)

I don't think it really gets any better than this. |
We went into theater 7 at about 10:45 PMish....We got the perfect seats that we wanted and we got to sit comfortably until 12:05 when the movie actually started. Jade played angry birds on my iPod Touch and Lolly just kind of relaxed. I napped until Jade said, "You're not really sleeping are you?" Ha! I was until you woke me up, BITCH! LOL
At about 20 minutes till, we went out to get our refreshments. I couldn't eat because I was still full as hell but I did get a cherry Icee! YUM!
***************Super Spoiler Alert***************
PAUSE!! This is the part where I tell all my opinions about the movie. If you haven't seen the movie or read the book and you don't want to know every single detail, please don't read this part. You will have your feelings hurt and I don't want to be the cause of that for anyone. If you've seen the movie, read the book, or generally don't care, GAME ON!
***********************************************************************************************************
Let me just start out by saying that the movie was fucking amazing. It blew my mind and went beyond anything I ever expected it to be. I loved all the movies (yes, even the first one) but this one was the best by far. I guess part of the reason is because the book rocked my world. The last book was so great, I should have figured as much for the movie. The movie was almost 2 hours long but it went by so fast.....I'll do my best to recount all the important parts. I'm dying to go see it again but I just haven't found the time yet!!
The Wedding was amazingly beautiful! It was the picture perfect wedding that I think all little girls dream their wedding will look like. The setting was perfect and I loved Bella's dress.
The Wedding was amazingly beautiful! It was the picture perfect wedding that I think all little girls dream their wedding will look like. The setting was perfect and I loved Bella's dress.
I thought the back of the dress was gorgeous! It fit the scene perfectly. Bella's parents presented her with the hair comb in a scene with her getting ready with Alice. |
Let me just be honest here. I cried through a great deal of the movie. Once the water works started, I had a hell of a time turning them off. The part of the wedding that I feel was the absolute best was when the camera showed Bella and Edward at the alter with all their guests sitting in the background and then the camera panned the crowd again and there was no one there. The background was completely empty and it was just Edward and Bella standing there taking their vows. Wow. Fucking mind blowing to say the least. Just writing about it now gave me goosebumps all over. Best. Shit. Ever.
I super loved Stephenie Meyer being in wedding audience. I thought that was a really nice touch. We knew that was going to happen but it still made me cry. It is very amazing to me that Stephenie had this dream and now she gets to stand there and watch it actually play out in real life. She is very lucky to have been able to make this dream of hers come to life. (And Jesus, we are so thankful!)
The speeches at the wedding reception were hilarious. Especially Charlie. Great job on those!! I actually laughed more than I thought I would.
When they traveled to Rio to get to Isle Esme everything was so happy and blissful. Even though I knew that wasn't going to last long, I still loved it. I really enjoyed them being very happy for once.
I love how even though there are all kinds of people around them, I still felt like it was just them. The fact that it came across to me on the screen like that was a total WIN!
The honeymoon scene was just as great as I hoped it would be. Bella being nervous and getting ready to get naked with Edward, the love making, the headboard, the scene where they were naked in the ocean together, the after (feathers everywhere and the room totally being wrecked), how happy they looked together, and I LOVED when Bella finally got the courage to walk into the bedroom with her lingerie on and Edward laughed because she was being silly. TOO AWESOME! Everything in general was just so good. One of the reasons I think that is, is because KStew and RPatz make everything look so REAL and believable. Again, my belief is that they are a real couple in the real world so making all this emotion look real was probably very easy. I'm just glad it came across on the screen to us that way. Perfect I say!
I do want to take a special moment to talk about Jacob. He looked hot as usual. Buff as usual. BUT, the part that wooed me to no end was the emotional charge that he gave off through the entire film. His love for Bella definitely was apparent. The part where Jacob claimed Alpha was so real and scary! I never imagined I would be scared but I kind of was. I just thought that this was the best emotional performance he's given in any of the films so far. Kudos to you, Taylor!!

I mean, we already knew he was hot. That's never been an issue....Well, except the wig in the first film. :) |
After Bella realized that she missed her period, it pretty much spiraled out of control pretty quickly from there. She realized she was pregnant, they hurried back home to Carlisle and her body immediately started to grow and deteriorate. I really wish they would have shown her signs of being pregnant more. Like how tired and hungry she was.....Oh, well, I guess we can't have it all.
I loved the fact that they made her look like absolute dog shit. She has never looked so ugly. Some of my favorite examples are: One of the only things that pissed me off so much was when she took her robe off of her pregnant body and was standing in front of the mirror. They showed part of her back (bones sticking out everywhere and little tiny arms that looked like they belonged to an anorexic chick) and her face (collarbones sticking out just as much as her back) but of course (PG-13, FML) they wouldn't show her belly. FUCK! I wanted them to pan down to that so bad!! What can I say? I wish it was rated R...Of course I do. But in this situation, the tweens won.

A "gift"just for my readers! |
I read somewhere that they used prosthetics to make her face look so gaunt. I feel like this look for this part of the book was an absolute win.

And again with the pale, shitty face look. Perfect!! |
The whole birth of Renesmee was kind of a disappointment. I certainly wished for much more guts and gore. I wanted to SEE what the hell was going on but I guess they did the best they could with again the PG-13 rating. <Deep, and I mean DEEP, SIGH> I did love seeing Edward with Renesmee. Seeing him become a father gave me goosebumps all over.
I loved how Jacob realized that he was imprinting on Renesmee as soon as he laid eyes on her. The look on his face was pretty priceless. The fact that he fell to his knees almost threw me over the edge. I was already crying....What a great scene.
A LONG time ago, when we found out that they would be splitting Breaking Dawn into two parts, I predicted that Part 1 would end with Bella opening her red, newborn eyes and people, that is EXACTLY where the movie ended. They showed the vampire venom spreading all over the outside and inside of her body, making her outer appearance as well as her inner body perfect. (Huge improvement on the outside seeing as how shitty they made her look) Then when she opened her eyes, the movie ended.
One of my favorite parts of the entire movie was when the vampire venom corrected her spine. What a wonderful way to show that happen from the inside. Thank you Bill Condon!

Yep, you won my respect. |
If you would like to leave your mini review in my comments section, I would love to hear what you thought.
**END OF THE SUPER SPOILER SECTION**
Jade, Lolly and I left the movie theater, went straight to the hotel and started getting ready for bed. I promptly realized that since I had packed while running my mouth to Lolly, I had no PJ's to wear and no toothbrush. OMG, really?! Well, that's no big problem for me since I sleep naked anyhow. I decided I was sleeping with Jade since I have slept with Jade about 10 million times since we met and she said that there was no way possible that she was going to sleep with me naked. She had to draw the line somewhere. (WHY?? She's seen me naked plenty of times!) So, I had to wear Ms. Pepsi Crotch's now dried Pepsi spill shirt and my underwear. That was about it. There was no way I was sleeping in my bra. I already couldn't wait to take it off. It worked out. I kept my clothes on and we all slept like the undead (pun intended that time).
The next morning we got up around 8:30AM, had a little free hotel breakfast and headed on home. We got back home around 11:30Am and we had plenty of time to enjoy the rest of our day off.
I hope that everyone has enjoyed hearing all 4 chapters of my trip story as much as I enjoyed telling them. I definitely loved reliving this story very, very much! I had the most fun and magical time with my two best friends and I cannot wait for Breaking Dawn Part 2 so we can do it all over again!
With much love,
Apple
