Wow, I've Never Been This Busy......

I was so excited to blog yesterday about my weekend and just everything in general when I realized that I was SO busy at work, it was never going to happen.

We had a huge, extremely annoying, cluster fuck computer system upgrade yesterday and it screwed up all sorts of things.  The phone has pretty much been ringing off the hook since Monday and it just slowed down.  What a bunch of shit.  We get an "upgrade" and it makes what we already have fuck up and be 10 times worse (and slower) than normal.  URG!?!?

Anyhow, I'm glad it's slowed down some and I have the chance to tell you about what's been going through my mind....(Holy shit, duck and cover!)
See, this is what you do when I tell you I've been thinking.
I have been diligently saving money for my treadmill, click here to see the last post about the treadmill.  I thought I found exactly the treadmill that my heart desired for $500 at Dick's Sporting Goods, which was my maximum I was willing to spend.  I went to the Dick's website today to look at said treadmill again because I'm going to be ready to order it this week (WAHOOOOO!!!!) and then I realized that $500 was the sale price and now the damn thing is $600.  Oh, hell nah!  I don't think so!

WTF?!  I had no idea this was the "sale" price!  I thought $500 was the regular price!  FML!!
So, I had to start looking for a new treadmill to fall in love with.  It didn't take very long.  I checked Target.  Blah.  I checked Sears...AND HAD MY LITTLE HEART STOLEN!  This treadmill is 3 times better than the one I originally picked out AND only for $400!  SCORE!!  I do believe that everything happens for a reason and for some reason, I wasn't supposed to have that other treadmill!  I will post pictures soon when it is sitting in my bedroom!

I started to flip out a little, until I remembered this!  I have to have other options and NOT freak out when the plans change.  Option F might end up being WAY better than option A!

I'm still a work in progress, but I think I'm improving.  Even if it is slowly but surely.  I'll take it!

SOOOO, I wanted to share this really funny picture with everyone that one of my friends sent to me.  I couldn't show it until I figured out a name for her.  Red helped me and let me tell you, I hope she likes what we picked because the alternatives...Well, let's just say, Red and I were cracking up.  Her initials are J.S.  Let me just list here some of the options that we contemplated:

Jack Seed - WTF?!  I have no explanation for this one

Jaundiced _________  I don't remember her skin ever looking yellowish

Jawless ____________  She's not exactly jawless.....

Jelly Sandwich   NO!  Too common (because all of the people I know are named Jelly Sandwich)

Jazzy Salmon   WELL, most salmon I know COULD be jazzy with the proper seasoning.....

Jazzy Situation   Not to be confused with THE Situation

Jazzy Sasquatch  No, she doesn't look like Sasquatch....That won't work....

And the ever popular......

Just Skanky   Close!  But not perfect......

Juicy Slut  NO, NO, too easy!  (no pun intended)

Can you tell that Jazzy for the first name almost won?

Finally we decided that <drum roll please!>

J. Strawberry was perfect!  (Because when your last name is Strawberry, who the hell needs a first name?!)  I hope that J. thinks so too.  It took many sleepless nights to come up with the perfect name.  If you think I really stay up at night thinking up this bullshit, you are crazy.  Red and I had a great time thinking of tons of inappropriate and horrible  an awesome name for J. and I think we did a pretty good job.

In the spirit of J. Strawberry....Here is what she shared:

Because sometimes, you need a surprise hug.  :)  For some reason, this definitely rocked my world.  I laughed!!!!!  Thanks J!!

I would also like to send another shout out to J. Strawberry for teaching me today how to post a link on my blog.  (Hence the treadmill link above)  I know who to call when I need bloggy technical support.  :)  (While I'm on a roll, I think that J. should apply for the new "Internet ninja" position that just came available recently.)  LOL, I'm practicing linking!

Let me stop messing with J. for today.  Tomorrow may be another story...LOL, moving on....

I went to the mailbox yesterday when I got home from work and there was an envelope full of money in there!!  WOO HOO!  Super special shout out to Uncle Darling!!!  Thank you for the coupons, Uncle Darling.  They will get put to good use and I can't wait to use them to get free stuff!!  Keep the money coming!

**Funny Side Story**
When I was a little kid and Uncle Darling was single and lived with us, we ate some amazing food.  Grama Darling cooked everyday so we were fed well.  Our whole family eats peanut butter and syrup on waffles, pancakes and french toast and I have been made fun of before because of it.  (Not that I give a flying fuck because it's the ONLY WAY to eat that stuff - only stuck up snobs use only butter and syrup)  I've also been ridiculed for eating THIS:
This habit came from Uncle Darling.  This is actually a picture of his plate that he sent to me to ask me if I still mix the two.

Yes, this is what you think it is.  Hot corn mixed with cold cottage cheese.  Yep, sure is.  Now, I'm not sure how this started.  I don't know if Uncle Darling was eating them on the same plate and they accidentally got mixed up and eaten that way or if this was an experiment or what but let me tell you.  It. Is. Delicious.  I promise!  For some reason, it goes really good together!  (Kinda like peanut butter and banana sandwiches)  Trust!  Uncle Darling, I sure do still mix and I love it!  I can eat corn alone and I can eat cottage cheese alone BUT if they are in the same room together, they are getting stirred together!  LOL
**End Funny Side Story**

I did decorate the house for Christmas this weekend with Dazzle, Neon and Supa.  I was going to post pictures today but I don't really have time!  GRRRR!  So, I will save that for tomorrow.  Hopefully I will have time to get my pictures together by then.  We had so much fun!!

Laters,

Apple

  1. I do only know one more person that mixes the corn and cottage cheese. An ex co workers daughter. I haven't asked her lately if she does or not....maybe I should?

Good blog today, missed not reading one yesterday!

  2. Put a whole bunch of fish food one on side of the tank, then put one or two pieces on the other side. Watch one or two go fight for it....funny!
