Friday Is Finally Here!!

I'm excited as hell that it's Friday.  This is the last weekend before spring break and it's my last chance to relax until vacation packing hell begins.  We are leaving one week from today to drive to the suburbs of Chicago to see my family.

Get ready Uncle Darling and Aunt Darling because here we come!!!

I'm really excited to see everyone and I can't wait but I'm not looking forward to the packing part.  Packing for 4 people is a chore and I'm just hoping this year that I don't have to take as much since the kids are getting older.  Hopefully I won't have to pack the entire house for this trip.  LOL.

I've got plenty to do this weekend and I'm GOING to relax somehow.  I refuse to start packing until about midweek (we'll be wearing the clothes that we want to take anyhow) so I'm not going to stress yet.

Nearly is staying at our house while we are gone to house sit and dog sit.  I wish we could take the dogs with us but I don't think Grampa Darling is up for 2 young kids, an elderly dog and a puppy.  No sir.  I'm really glad that Nearly could help us out.

Yesterday when I left work, I went straight to the nail salon like I planned.  I'm feeling much better now:
Sparkly, glittery blue just for this week.  I'm going to keep it calm for vacation next week.  I don't want to scare Grampa Darling with crazy nails.  I'm thinking about grey....Hmmmm.

I was at the nail place longer than I expected and of course Supa was supposed to get off at 5PM and didn't get off till 6PM.  I didn't feel like cooking when I got home so we took the kids to Fuddrucker's to get a burger.  (Because kids eat free with each adult meal purchased!!)  $24 for a family of four to eat dinner, yes please!  It was really yummy.  Supa and I hung out after the kids went to bed and fell asleep together on the couch watched Bon Jovi on Oprah's Master Class show.  LOL.  At some point we got up and got in the bed.

I also just discovered "Draw Something".  An app on my iPod touch that I hear everyone making a big stink about.  (And just this second, I realized I can play it on my computer at work too :)  I posted on Facebook for my friends to find me on there and a few minutes later Uncle Darling and I were guessing each other's drawings :)  Apparently Uncle Darling loves it!!  Let me tell you, Mama Darling is an amazing artist but I SUCK!  I guess it skipped a generation because Dazzle can draw really well.  Let's just say that I tried to draw a rhino last night and Uncle Darling couldn't tell what the fuck it was.  LOL.   I said I suck at drawing and I meant it!  I wish I had a picture of my rhino to post here now.  Supa laughed his ass off when he saw what it looked like.  I'll try harder, I promise!!
Try it!  It's really fun!!

I will NOT be playing Draw Something ALL day long at my desk because I brought something to keep me busy today besides work

Something to keep me busy today!  Woot!!
That is the pretty butterfly photo album that Jade got me for my birthday on top of that box there.  The box holds all the old pictures that I organized that used to look like this.  She intended to help me with my picture organization by getting me this photo album.  I need about 100 more for all the photos that I have but this is a step in the right direction.  So, today at my desk after happily finishing this post I'm going to read The Hunger Games book 3 (I'm on page 42 and I'm having a little bit of a hard time getting into this third book, not sure why), watch some TV, play some Draw Something and organize pictures.  Oh, and work!  Of course!  I have to work while I'm at work too!  LOL!

I hope everyone has a lovely Friday and I will be back on Monday!!!

Till Then,

Apple Darling

Time For A Break

I had a really bad nightmare last night.  I was kidnapped twice by a serial killer/rapist/torturer and I escaped twice only to be hunted down yet again.  I called the police but the serial killer killed the cop too.  He was coming for me to really kill me for the last time when my alarm clock went off.  Thank you sweet baby Jesus.  Supa was already at work by the time I got up so when I woke up and realized I was all alone, not in the serial killers house but still all alone, I was really freaked the fuck out.  I had to turn all the bedroom and bathroom lights on (I never turn lights on in the morning) so that I could shake the "I'm about to be chopped up in little pieces" feeling.

WTF?!

I guess that's why I feel like I didn't get any rest and I'm all sleepy and disturbed at my desk this morning.

I didn't even watch a scary movie before bed!  I was watching Oprah with Supa when I feel asleep on the couch and it was about meditation!!

This is what a monster looks like to me.  Charles Manson, you and all your friends need to stay out of my dreams!!!

Besides that, I'm having a good day.  I have to work till 6PM tomorrow so I get to leave work a little bit early today.  I'm driving straight to the nail salon when I get off so I can get my finger fixed.

This is so ghetto trashy.  I have to tuck my fingers on that hand so no one sees my nail fail.

Supa gets off at 5 today (I'm not holding my breath but that's what time he's scheduled to leave) so he can go home and start dinner.  I'll meet them at the house after I look like a princess again.  LOL

Alrighty, gotta go.  I blogged a good bit this week, with my extra long birthday posts and all.   So, I told myself I was going to take a bloggy break today and damnit, I am!

Love,

Apple

Baby Bunny Killer

Lolly arrived at my house after work yesterday (and before I did because she gets off earlier).  We made plans to have dinner together and watch our show (The Secret Life of the American Teenager).  After she said hello to the kids, she went to the back door to let Copper in and as soon as she opened the door for him, she slammed it closed in his face.  "Dazzle, does Copper have a toy that looks like a bunny or squirrel or something?" she asked.  Well, he doesn't have a toy that looks like either of those.  So she opened the blinds on the door and looked out.....Copper brought a dead baby bunny to the door!  The fuck?!  He dropped the dead baby bunny on the back deck so Lolly let him in the house where they kept him until I got home.

I got home and had a dead baby bunny to deal with.  Wonderful.  Supa was at work and if he wouldn't have been closing or if I didn't have dogs that needed to go outside to pee, I would have left that dead baby bunny right there for Supa to handle when he got home.  In this case, I had to deal with it myself.  Fuckity, fuckity, fuck!!!

Lolly and I went outside (Dazzle had to hold the bunny murderer back because he wanted to go chew on the baby bunny more I'm guessing...) to evaluate the situation we were in.  Here is what the situation looked like:

Supa said that maybe Copper found the bunny after it was already dead.  Not likely since the thing was freshly dead.  It wasn't even stiff yet.

There was no way I was touching it.  Nope.  I decided that I could pick it up with the shovel and put it in a plastic bag.  That wouldn't be too gross.  I got the shovel and put the plastic bag on the ground beside it so I wouldn't have to transport it far.  I couldn't get the damn thing on the shovel!  It was SOOOOO gross!!  Lolly had to get one of our gardening tools to help shove the damn thing on the shovel.  The kids were inside, watching through the window and laughing at how disgusted we were so as soon as we got the thing on the shovel, I held it right up to the window for them to get a closer look.  Much screaming followed.  LOL.

Once we had the thing in a plastic bag all tied up and we couldn't see it, it didn't seem half as gross.  There could have been anything in the bag.  Oh boy!

After a quick discussion on what to do with the bagged bunny, we decided I needed to put it in our herbie curbie.  I hope the trash people don't breath when they dump the trash A WEEK FROM NOW.  Yick!!!

I've been calling Copper, "bunny killer", "baby bunny murderer" and "rabbit hater" ever since.  He doesn't seem to mind.  I think it was Dazzle that said, "Happy Easter!!"  and Neon might have mentioned how the Easter bunny was going to be pissed at Copper.  LMAO!!  I'm not surprised that our half lab/half German Shepherd brought us home a bunny.  I know one thing for sure, I didn't want Copper licking me anymore after carrying around Mr. Dead Bunny in his mouth.  Ewwww!!!!

After that fiasco, we made dinner (sausage eggs & french toast).  I kindly asked the kids if they wanted a little side of baby bunny with their eggs.  That didn't go over so well.  LMAO!  We cleaned up and sent the kids to their rooms to read and study.  Then Nearly showed up to hang out for a while.

We watched our show and a little bit of another show and then it was time for Lolly to go home and get some rest since we both had to be at work this morning.  It was at that time that I should have taken my ass to bed.  Of course I didn't because Supa was on his way home and I really wanted to see him.  I stayed up talking to him much later than I should have. I'm dragging ass today.

Dazzle is in dance at school.  She absolutely loves it and her class just performed a flash mob in the school cafeteria this past Friday.  :)  FUN!  I am posting the video (since you won't know which kid she is, identity still safe!)

She did a really great job and had lot of fun!!  We are so proud of her and can't wait to see her in her final performance at the end of the year!

Uncle Darling:

Well, he had a really nice coupon haul the other day.  He sent me a photo and I really wanted to share:

Try to guess how much he paid before you scroll down!

Yep, that's correct!  .43 cents.  He just had to pay the tax.  NICE!!!
Now, where are my "free" item coupons?!  LOL, just kidding.  I know he gets them through work and since I can't send him free money from my job...I understand completely.

Uncle Darling also sent me a cool idea for my nails:

I love them!!
I have many cool nail ideas to go with this one but I have a feeling it would cost a pretty penny to get them done this way.  Some examples:

Haha, well this isn't too practical looking but really cool.

Really nice for going out at night.

For someone who hates spiders, what a really nice idea!!  Cute!

Wow, I'm in love with these!!

I call these bling nails!
One day, when I'm a millionaire, I will get my nails done very expensively in Uncle Darling's honor.  :)  If I could afford such a luxury now, trust, I would!

One more thing and then I have to dip....

Uncle Darling sent me this funny which for some reason, I found so funny that it had me snorting and almost choking on my own spit.  LOLOLOLOL!

A woman in a supermarket is following a grandfather and his badly behaved 3 year-old grandson. It's obvious to her that he has his hands full with the child screaming for sweets in the sweet aisle, biscuits in the biscuit aisle; and for fruit, cereal and pop in the other aisles. Meanwhile, Gramps is working his way around, saying in a controlled voice, "Easy, William, we won't be long . . . easy, boy." Another outburst, and she hears the granddad calmly say, "It's okay, William, just a couple more minutes and we'll be out of here. Hang in there, boy." At the checkout, the little terror is throwing items out of the buggy, and Gramps says again in a controlled voice, "William, William, relax buddy, don't get upset. We'll be home in five minutes; stay cool, William."

Very impressed, the woman goes outside where the grandfather is loading his groceries and the boy into the car. She said to the elderly gentleman, "It's none of my business, but you were amazing in there. I don't know how you did it. That whole time, you kept your composure, and no matter how loud and disruptive he got, you just calmly kept saying things would be okay. William is very lucky to have you as his grandpa.

"Thanks, ma'am," said the grandfather, "but I'm William. This little bastard's name is Kevin."

:)  Anyhow, I hope everyone enjoys their Wednesday.  I'm going to try to stay awake at my desk somehow.

Apple's Birthday Shenanigans Day 2 & 3

Saturday....

Supa and I got up, got ready, left the kids to play their video games and went to the flea market.  The movie guy wasn't there.  POO!  Then we rode around our neighborhood for a while looking for a good garage sale or two.  There weren't any!  WTF?!  So we decided to go back home.

The kids wanted to chill and be lazy yes, Supa is included in "kids" but I told them that we needed to get some things done and then we could be lazy:

11:19 AM

Supa and I finally took the 52 inch TV out of our bedroom.  It quit working on us months ago but we really didn't know what to do with it.  (You can't just throw that big ass thing in the herbie curbie.)  We rolled the TV outside and set it on the side of the road by the ditch.

The kids folded up the laundry and cleaned their rooms and then I sent them outside to play.  It was beautiful out and they can't lay around and be lazy all day.

Supa gave Copper a bath in Neon's bathtub (thank God because he smelled terrible!).
Here is Copper.  Very impatiently waiting for his fur to dry so he can go outside & play with the kids.
I can't believe how big he is already!!  He will be ONE next month.  ;)  He's such a good pup!!
Meanwhile, I gave Odie a bath in the kitchen sink :)

Oops!  I didn't mean to cut off the top of his little head!!  LOL
Poor little fella!  He was mega annoyed with me.
And why does Odie always look like the devil dog with those red eyes?? Every single picture I take of him makes him look possessed!  LOL!
They both did a great job taking their baths.  Supa cut their nails too.  Odie, I have to hold out in mid-air so he doesn't flail his little legs.  Copper just lays down like a little goof ball and licks Supa to death until he's finished getting his trimmed.  Haha!!  He is a really good listener and has no problems usually following commands.  Drama with one and mostly perfect behavior with the other.  Gah!  LOL.

Supa and I did some other house chores together.  He scrubbed a few spots on the carpet for me and did a few other deep cleaning jobs that I have been putting off.

Then it was PJ time!!  I put my PJ's on and took the leftover peanuts (from Roadhouse) out on the front porch so I wouldn't make a mess with the peanut trash in my nice clean house to sit, eat my peanuts and watch Supa, Dazzle and Neon play basketball.  What a fun time they had whooping on their Dad.  Haha!  They had a blast.

After basketball, all the stinky, sweaty people took showers and I waited for them on the couch ;)  The kids decided since their Dad was home miracle that they should take advantage of the time together and watch Thor.  I promptly fell asleep.  Nap time!!

When Lolly text me to say that her and Camo Man were on their way it was time to get up and wash the stink off of myself.  I got showered, dressed and was blow drying my hair when they showed up.  Lolly promptly came in the bathroom to talk to me while I finished my hair and makeup.  Before we knew it, Jade arrived, loaded down with bags and boxes wait,  are we celebrating a birthday or something?!.  Nearly was next in the door.  By the time I made it into the living room, R.J.A.T.W was already sitting on the couch with the men.  Time for the night to begin!!

We hung out with the men for a few minutes and then it was out the door to dinner we went!!  Since I had been out to eat twice the day before, I wanted something different.  We decided to try a Japanese steakhouse.  YUM!  Lolly and Jade had never been before but I already knew it was going to be amazing!!  I love Japanese!

I always drive when we go out.  It might be a control thing or it might be because I like to drive BOTH.  Either way, it was my bday and I didn't want to drive so I special requested that Nearly drive us (I like her car) and I got birthday shotgun.  I was the designated DJ on the way to the restaurant (just like I like to be).  We get on the interstate and it starts pouring down rain.  Like a fucking hurricane or monsoon.  We are going about 40 MPH (the speed limit is 70 MPH!) and can't see shit (there are no cars on the road anyhow because they all pulled over) when it starts hailing!!  Hailing so bad that Nearly was worried about her windshield getting cracked!  WTF?!   I was so glad I wasn't driving.  We were all freaked out but we didn't panic and we made it off the interstate without dying!  WOOT!

We decided to go to Miyabi's and see what was shakin'.  I think Nearly has been there before but the other 3 of us had not.  Perfect.  Somewhere new!  (It stopped raining and hailing as soon as we got off the interstate)

It looked pretty promising from the outside.
We go inside and Nearly, the restaurant guru (She was a waitress at Carolina Wings for like a million years - best damn waitress I've ever seen) goes straight to the desk to get us a table.  The other 3 of us are just chilllin'.  I look up and I'm like, "Uh, what?  Are we at the planetarium?" more like the Twilight Zone  ! The ceiling looked like a really pretty night time sky.  There were tons of stars and such a pretty blue color.

Use your imagination.  This is the pic I took of the ceiling.  That thing in the middle is a "Happy Valentine's Day"  balloon that I'm assuming they couldn't get down because the damn ceiling is so high up.  Get a fucking ladder!  It's the end of March already!!!

Anyhow, Nearly turns around and says, "They are so busy, it's reservations only."  "Okay, English please.  WTF does that mean?!  That we can't eat here??"  Nope, with no reservation, we sure couldn't!  FML!

Out the door we went (and now that it was unattainable, I told Supa I am making reservations because we HAVE to eat there, LOL).  We decided to go check out another Japanese place down the road.  On our way there, we see:
A birthday rainbow!!  :)

I like how the entire photo is ugly.  Just focus on the fucking rainbow ;)
We arrived at the next restaurant and there was no wait.  (On a Saturday night.  I was slightly worried but we went ahead and got a table.)

Nearly said she had eaten there before and that their food was wonderful so I was game.

We laughed so much and ate tons.  We just had a great time.  I enjoyed myself and my three best friends so very much.  What fabulous food and company!  We had edamame, little dumplings with sauce, chicken, shrimp, rice, veggies, sushi....We had enough food for days.  LOL.  I am so pissed at myself!!  I didn't take any pictures of our food!!!  I guess I was so excited, I just forgot!!  I did take a picture of our leftovers!

Yep, we stole the white sauce containers because they were SO cool!!  These were the leftover veggies and sushi I was taking home to Supa.

Lolly's leftover veggies, chicken and rice.  She took those home for Camo Man. (She forgot her leftovers in my fridge and Supa and I sure ate them on Sunday!  LOL!)

We were so stuffed and had the best time!  Dinner, win!!!

We went back home to the men (and kids) and it was time for more fun!!  Dazzle and Neon kissed us goodnight to go read in their beds (and go to sleep) and we cranked up the party a notch with a few shots in the kitchen.  YUM!

It was time to open presents.  My friends are so great.  I got a bunch of cool stuff.  Shoes, a beautiful, butterfly photo album, two hoodies (because you know I live in them), a promise of a day out of fun, and some other stuff that was awesome!  I loved everything!  (I forbid Supa from buying me anything because I'm saving our money for our vacation next month.  He paid for my underwear that we got on Friday at least!  Heehee)

R.J.A.T.W got me something really special:

It is a hand painted collectible butterfly ornament.  I love it!  I didn't even know they made those!!

After the birthday girl got her favorite drink made (Vodka, Hawaiian punch, Sprite) it was time to play Bingo!!  Lolly, Jade, R.J.A.T.W, Nearly and myself (Camo Man played some but he was hanging out on the couch with Supa who was playing video games) played round after round.  Each round cost you $1.00 and if you wanted to buy extra cards, you better get out your $$!

Drink, check!  iPod for music, check!  Bingo stuff, check!  Tootsie Roll container full of pennies to use as extra chips, check!
We had an absolute blast!  Everyone was laughing, singing and barely handling the suspense of who was going to call Bingo!!!  Everyone won a few times I think.  Jade was pretty unlucky but you win some you lose some...

Bingo hands!!  :)  Not to be confused with Jazz hands!

Even Copper Whopper wanted to get in on the Bingo action!!
Jade got me a cheesecake for my birthday dessert and it sure looked yummy!  Everyone had a piece while playing Bingo.   I just couldn't eat any because I was still so full from dinner and drinks!  I did have a few bites off of my friends plates :) Just a taste!
Oh, trust, I ate some Sunday morning!

I was doing my best to make sure this belonged to me as often as possible!
In the long run, I made about $7.  I kept winning but I also kept betting.  LOL!  It was a great time.  I think R.J.A.T.W won everyone's money.  He was up at least $15 by the end.

After many, many rounds of Bingo and an absurd amount of drinks on my part (I didn't have to drive anywhere!!) oh and PS, it was my birthday and I'll get drunk if I want to!  it was 2 AM!  Holy, cow!  How did that happen!  It was time for everyone to go home so I could pass out!  Haha!!

I had the best birthday.  I will forever remember my 31st birthday and the friends that made it so awesome!  I love you guys!!

Sunday............

The kids let us sleep until 9AM.  That was really sleeping in on our part.  I got up and felt pretty fine.  For 4 shots and 6 drinks, that's a drunken win!  I wasn't hungover but I did have the fucking **DAD'S.

We got up, had breakfast with the kids, cleaned up a tad from the night before (not a huge mess because my girls would never leave me with that), took showers and decided to run to the flea market again to catch the movie guy (fucking hopefully) and run by the coupon dumpster.

We did find the movie guy (about damn time) and he didn't have one thing I wanted to buy!  SUCK!  I did get a movie for Jade that she wanted me to grab if he had it.  Score on that at least.  Then we ran by the dumpster.  There were some coupons but not tons.  We went to Jade's house to drop off the DVD and half of the coupons.  Supa decided that he would cook us dinner so we ran to Bilo to get pork chops and dinner rolls.  It was what a birthday girl requested!  :)  By then it was pretty much lunch time so we went home, picked up Dazzle and Neon and took them to IHOP for lunch.  Neon screamed his face off in pure happiness because he LOVES IHOP and we hadn't been there in a while.

I tried to eat my food but I ended up in the bathroom for a while because of the fucking **DAD'S!!  Damnit, intestines!  Cooperate!!

We went back home and just hung out.  Supa and I were out on the back porch when Dazzle came outside and said, "Did one of you just ring the doorbell??  NO?  Then there is someone at the front door."  Oh hell.  I was in my damn PJ's!  Supa went to see who it was.

3:07 PM

It was two men that wanted to know if they could have the TV that was on the side of the road.  LOL!  Supa said they sure could have it and thank you for taking it!  :)  I told him it was only a matter of time before someone came to get it.  They will probably fix it for cheap and resell it.  In the mean time, when we get back from vacation, I'll be buying a nice, new TV for our bedroom and a piece of furniture to set it on.  Good ridden old crappy TV!  :)

We hung out, watched TV together and rested.  Supa cooked us dinner and it was so yummy!!

I had the Sunday blues a little bit because I wasn't looking forward to Monday morning....

I had a wonderful birthday.  It was so fun and much more celebrating then a person could have asked for.  Thank you everyone for making my birthday so special!  Here's to many more fun times in the future!!

With great love and thanks,

Apple

Apple's Birthday Shenanigans Day 1

Okay, here goes.

Let's open this post with:

I'm tired and slightly cranky.   I guess when you have 3 days of freedom, spent with your family and friends, Monday becomes even more so of a bitch.

I'm still excited to share my weekend with everyone let's just jump right in:

(Don't laugh at all the random pictures I took.  I told you I was going to be a better blogger!  I took my camera everywhere this past weekend!!)

Friday.........

The first thing I saw when I woke up was:

I don't know why but this struck me as so awesome.  I repeated these words all day long in a "Neon type" voice.

I guess it's because I'm always leaving him notes ("Put the clothes in the dryer please" after school on the counter or "Have a great day, Sweetie" in his lunchbox) but he never, ever leaves me notes.  He also wrote "Mom" which puzzled me because he never calls me "Mom".  I've been known as "Mama" since he could talk.  Either way, I loved it so much!!  What a great way to start my birthday!!

I got ready to go while Supa took the kids to school.  We went to Walmart (my request) and we got a few things we needed, some new underwear for me - woo hoo - nice birthday gift to myself, and a few things for the kids for Easter.

Then we were off to the nail salon!  I decided that the birthday girl needed to have special hot pink nails for her day!!  Supa totally agreed and even sat and watched while they made my hands all pretty ;)

Hot pink, baby!!!  :)
Supa and I decided to go to Ruby Tuesday's for lunch.  We hadn't been there in a long time and I had a coupon for $10 off!  Woot!!
Free salad bar with purchase of an entree!!  WOOT!  Can you guess whose plate is whose??

Ruby Tuesday's has the BEST homemade croutons so I go to the salad bar and I was like "Where are all the croutons?!". They didn't have any?!  WTF!?  So, I ask the waiter and he promptly brings me this:

It was a full bowl but I ate them.  Heehee.  Supa hates croutons but he LOVED these!  I told him they were the shit!!

Supa's lunch.  He had mushroom pasta something.

Mmmm.  My lunch!   Chicken and broccoli Alfredo.  It was good!!!
We were absolutely stuffed when we left and we definitely enjoyed ourselves very much.
Lunch, win!!

Then it was time to go see our movie:

The Hunger Games!!!  AAAHHHHHH!  We were so excited to see it!!!

We sat down and the previews started.  (We were right on time)  I was settling in to take a nap until the movie started (you know they play an hour of previews before the movie) when I heard a familiar voice.....

"Edward?!  Edward?!  Where are you?!"  OMG, they were playing the Breaking Dawn Part 2 sneak peek!!!!!!!!!!!  One of my friends at work said that they might but it hadn't been confirmed.  It was so good and I had to reach for my bucket before the movie even started!!  Here it is!!!

<Drip, drip, drip>  Damnit!  Where is that bucket?!

Thank you so much for that, Summit Entertainment!!

Anyhow, the movie was good.  I would definitely recommend watching the movie before reading the book.  Since I've read the book and THEN saw the movie, I was left feeling a little disappointed.  (As I half-way expected since the book is most often always better than the movie).  Supa agreed with me.  They left out some vital parts and changed a few things that left us scratching our heads.  A few WTF moments but still good.  I'm still buying it on DVD and seeing the second movie if they make one.  I'm still reading book 3 and I will continue to read it.

I like how my birthday is under the title.  I wanted to tell Supa to get in the picture but then I remembered his identity would then be compromised.  LOL.  We can't have that.
After that, it was time to head home for a little nap.  I was tired from all that eating, LOL!!

Nearly came over after work to hang out with the kids so Supa and I could go out.  We ran to Subway together to get them some dinner and then we were off again!  (Wow, we got to see each other alone a bunch that day!!)

We decided (again because I had a coupon) that we would go to Texas Roadhouse for dinner.  We love eating there and their food is great.

When we arrived, there was a 25 minute wait for a table.  No problem because they gave me peanuts!
Nuts make everything better!!!
I wasn't going to tell the waiter that it was my birthday because I didn't need the entire waitstaff running over to sing to me BUT when I handed the waiter my coupon that said "One free appetizer for your birthday" it was kind of obvious.  LOL.  He promised that he wouldn't sing.  Perfect.

Our free appetizer.  About 5,000 calories at least!  Whoa buddy!!
So, we're sitting there enjoying our food and I swear, the waitstaff sang 5 people Happy Birthday!!  I stopped counting at 5!  I was pretty impressed that there were so many lucky people that shared the same day of birth as myself :)  Aries people ROCK!!!

I forgot to take a picture of our salads, steaks, baked potatoes, rice, veggies and other good stuff we ate.  This was the first time in my life I ordered my steak anything other than "burnt".  I actually ordered it "medium" because I now like it pink in the middle.  I don't know what the hell took me so long to come to my senses but I'm glad I finally did.  That steak was sooooo good!!

At one point during our meal, I hear some idiot saying "Beans and Franks!!  Beans and Franks".  I look over at the booth next to us and I see this fat, nasty, redneck asshole having dinner with his son (about Dazzle's age) and his wife.  The whole time we're sitting there he is being absolutely disgusting and obnoxious.  He was talking all kinds of shit about things and degrading his son, calling him a dummy and other mean stuff.  He was really pissing me off.  Supa noticed him and we both decided that he reminded us of Jade's husband!!  Right then, the manager comes over to see how their food is and the guy introduces himself as "Chris".  Supa and I almost died laughing.  That's Jade's husband's name!!!  What a loser!

Jade, I'm still saving my money to pay for your divorce.  Let me know when you're ready!

This was the point in which I realized I forgot to take food pictures again:

The waiter was awesome!  He didn't sing but he still brought me a brownie for Supa and I to share!  :)
We went straight back home after dinner.  I was so full and we didn't really have anywhere else to be.  I knew I couldn't drink any beverages if we went anywhere and that was fine with me.

I got home and Nearly gave me this:
I love how the cute little black girl has a Coach purse!  LOL!  Love you, Nearly!!

Nearly left to go on a date, the kids went to bed and Supa and I fell asleep on the couch.  Perfect night!!

Much Better!

Today has started out much better than the past few days.  Thankfully.  I couldn't take one more shitty day in a row.  Hopefully today flies by!!

So, yesterday on my lunch break, I went and raped the hell out of Publix.  I can't believe all the stuff I got for $20.07.  Check this out:

That's a great deal!!!
Let's focus, people.  That's:

2 - Thomas bagels
2 - V8 juice (YUCK, but Supa loves it)
2 - Peter Pan peanut butter
7 - Eggo waffles (Neon's absolute favorite)
2 - Perdue chicken tenders
1 - Mr. Clean antibacterial cleaner
4 - Kraft mac & cheese

All of that for $20.07?!  I was very happy with yesterday's haul.  I wish I still had my receipt so I could post how much I saved but let's just say, a whole bunch.  :)

Taking about coupon stuff, I got some coupons in the mail from Uncle Darling (finally, JUST KIDDING!!!).  LOL!!  Thank you, Uncle Darling!!!   I really appreciate it!  That is my favorite thing to get in the mail now :D

I finished reading Book 2 of The Hunger Games...Wow, it's so good!  I plan to start the final book (Book 3) today and I'm pretty excited about it.  I could have started it yesterday but then I knew I wouldn't get anything else done.  I had to catch up on Celebrity Apprentice and get my coupon plan of action together.  Today, I should have plenty of time.

So, for those of you who have read or are reading The Hunger Games:
Because of this and the fact that I need to prepare for a zombie apocalypse, when I get back from vacation, I'm going to work out harder than ever.  This is so me!!!
(PS, thank you for that Red Lady.  :)  I appreciate the nice, totally appropriate contribution.)

Neon came into the living room the other night and presented me with this:

WTF?!
He explained to me that this baggie contained pieces to a puzzle and he bet me all the money in his piggy bank that I couldn't figure it out. Oh, really??  He said he got it from school and his teacher told the kids to try to see if their parents could complete the puzzle.....Of course I laughed and said, "Time me!".  (haha, I can do this, easy!)

I got started....
All of these little triangles should form a perfect square when it's all put together.  "No gaps or spaces allowed", Neon said.  Okay, no problem...

Or so I thought....

This is the best I got it to look...After about 15 minutes of moving and removing little triangles.  Supa came and took over and he got nowhere quick.  WTF?!  LOL  I guess I shouldn't have been so puzzle-cocky.

I asked Neon if he knew how to do it and he said "Yep!  Sure do!".  Alrighty well, we gave up so Neon was going to show us how it was supposed to be done.....

He couldn't do it either!!!  Bahahahahahahahahahaha!!!

I told him to take it back to his teacher and let her show him again because his parents couldn't do it.  Talk about admitting defeat.  Haha!!  AND, since my son is only 9, I'm never expecting to hear of that puzzle again.  I'm sure he's already forgotten all about it.  The pieces are probably stuck to the bottom of the inside of his book bag.  LOL.

I had one call yesterday at work that absolutely almost drove me over the edge.  I really want to record these calls somehow and one day write a book about tall the idiots in the banking world but for now  I thought I would share this one:  (PS, 100% true story)

Me:  "Thank you for calling _____  ______  ______!  This is Apple Darling speaking.  How may I help you today?"

Idiot:  "Yeah, well, I reported my debit card lost and I didn't know if there was a new debit card automatically ordered for me or if I had to order one....."

Me:  "There is a form that you would need to complete in order to get a new debit card.  I can fax or mail this form to you or you may visit a local branch to get the form."

Idiot:  (with an attitude problem) "Ah, well, I can't just order a new card over the phone?"

Me:  "No, ma'am.  There is a form that you would need to complete in order to get a new debit card."  (Didn't I just say that?!)

Idiot:  (with more of an attitude) "Well, I'm in Alabama so what now?!"

Me:  "I can fax or mail this form to you."  (I don't know where all my patience is coming from at this point)

Idiot:  "Well, OK, I guess you can fax it to me and then I'll just have to mail it back"

Me:  "Or you could just fax it back to me, ma'am."

Idiot:  "Oh, yeah, okay.  I'll fax it back."

Me:  "May I have your member number please?"

Idiot:  "My what?"

Me:  "Your member number."

Idiot:  "My phone number?"

Me:  "No, your member number, please."

Idiot:  "I still can't understand you."

Me:  (Speaking in plain, LOUD English)  "M-E-M-B-E-R, your MEMBER number."

Idiot:  "Oh, my member number?  I don't know it."

Please keep in mind folks, this is only 1 call out of about 85 that I took yesterday.  Sometimes, I just don't know how I make it through the day without losing my mind.

Sometimes, you just have to bang your head against the wall, repeatedly.
Tomorrow is my birthday.  Yep, sure is.  Whatever.  I'm going to get older no matter what so I might as well take advantage of my "special" day and have some fun right?  Well, for starters, I took tomorrow off of work (supa is off Friday, Saturday and Sunday).  Red knew that I was not going to be at work tomorrow so she surprised me this morning with:

A really cute card, signed by our whole department ;)

My absolute favorite...Andes Mint Cupcakes made by Red.  YUUUUMMMMM!

Thank you so much, Red.  That was very thoughtful of you and it completed my "Friday" at work.  :)  XXOO  (I hope that most of the people in our department don't like mint, more for me!!)  Heehee!!

I'm not going to reveal all the details of what we're doing on my birthday weekend yet.  I do promise to be a really good blogger and take many pictures so that I can document the weekend long event on Monday morning for everyone.  I will say that there will be a whole lot of eating out involved and lots of great friends.  I have also invited a group of people over on Saturday night and they are all coming armed with $1 bills.  You didn't know Supa stripped for social events did you?  LOL!

Now that I have your attention:

Have a super weekend!!  (I know I sure will!)

Until Monday,

Apple
