Download This.....

Welcome to another edition of "Download This..."  I hope everyone is well today and ready for some good music!

I always listen to Pandora at my desk everyday, all day long, at least when I'm not watching TV and I totally love it.  Supa has recently discovered IHeartRadio on his Kindle Fire and I decided I needed to find out what all the hoopla was about.  I spent some time yesterday figuring out how it worked and guess what?  I love that one too.  What a great site to hear all your favorite music, listen to any radio station anywhere, and discover new songs that you never knew even existed.  If you are behind like me, check it out here.

I'm kind of cheating a little today.  I haven't actually downloaded anything this week or last week for that matter but I do have a list of songs I'm going to download SOON.  As soon as I'm not at work, cooking dinner, managing middle school drama, shopping or on the treadmill, I'll get to it.  So for now, I'm going to randomly pick some songs that are already on my iPod so I don't let you people down.

Here goes:

#1:  Hey Mr. DJ By: Zhane

This song came out in 1994 (who remembers it?!) and I have always liked it.  It's really fun to work out to and to listen to if you're bored and need a pick me up.

#2:  Girl You Know It's True By: Milli Vanilli

Okay, look.  I totally picked these songs at random.  Blame my iPod if you'd like.

You people can laugh.  You people can hate.  I don't really care WHO really sings this song.  I like it.   I have liked it since it first came out (like an eon ago) and I will continue to like it no matter what controversy it brings.  LOL.

This video is Milli Vanilli "performing" on the 1990 Grammy show.  You can supposedly tell they are lip syncing here.

#3:  Hips Don't Lie By: Shakira ft. Wyclef Jean

This selection comes with a really funny Neon story.  Supa, Dazzle, Neon and I were all sitting on the couch together one night watching one of the awards shows on TV.  Shakira was performing one of her songs and she was basically humping the camera with her crotch.  As you can imagine, she was mostly naked and this was the point I sent the kids to their rooms for bed.  Right as Neon was about to get off the couch, I said to Supa, "Have you seen her new music video?  She is naked I swear."  To which Neon says, "Um, hello, if she's naked, I want to see that video!"  Oh lawd!!  We laughed our asses off.   Poor little Neon will never live that one down.  We have officially dubbed Shakira his girlfriend.  Every single time we hear her or she randomly appears somewhere we are all like, "Neon!  That's your girlfriend" and he's totally proud about it.  LOL, he says, "Yep!  That's Shakira!".  I mean, who in their right mind wouldn't claim her??!!  She's hot!

#4:  Fade Into You   By:  Mazzy Star

What an emotion provoking song (for me at least).  I was living with this guy and his brother once (long story, not meant for today) and he has this crazy CD that I fell in love with, hence, Mazzy Star.

#5:  If It Kills Me  By: Jason Mraz

Supa and I have been listening to Jason Mraz for a long time.  I love all of his music and this is just one of the greatest songs ever.  I will never forget the day I was sitting on the front porch of our house castle and what appeared to be a soccer Mom in a green mini van drove past the house with all her windows wide open and this song blaring from her poor busted out speakers.  Needless to say, she was singing at the top of her lungs and I thought it was hilarious.  More power to you soccer Mom!  At least you picked a great song to butcher!  I'm such a mean bitch!

I hope you all enjoyed the randomness that I picked for today.  I'm going to work on downloading the list of songs that I have waiting for me so that next week will be a little more exciting!

Happy Thursday!!
