Happy Tuesday People!!

I'm starting this entry at 9:20 AM so that I have plenty of time to bang it out.  It's the 1st of tha month <to get up, get up, get up, so cash your checks and get up> so it's most likely going to be a busy day.

(If you don't know the above lyric reference, please download :  Bone Thugs N Harmony - 1st of tha month - Bone Thugs does not disappoint.)

ANYHOW......I can already tell it's going to be one of those crazy, fly by the seat of my pants kind of post.  LOL, Jesus, watch out!

Before I start talking about this past mostly uneventful weekend, let me tell you bitches what I saw this morning on my way to work.....

I was driving down the interstate, jamming to my music super duh, when right in front of me I see a hearse.  Okay, no big deal.  I've seen a fucking hearse before.  But this hearse was different.  It was all tricked out.  Chrome everywhere...It just looked brand spankin' new and really nice.  Then I noticed that (I guess in the spirit of Halloween or maybe it's on there on a daily basis...) there were two big, spooky, skeleton faces in the two back corners of the rear window.  FUCKING AWESOME!  It looked phenomenal.  SO, knowing my crazy ass, I try to take a picture with my semi-shitty camera on my phone while rushing at 75 MPH down Interstate 20 in 8 AM traffic.  (Also riding the ass of this hearse to the best of my ability so that I can get a half way decent picture)  SHIT.....very responsible of me, I know....Luckily, my own life was the only one that I was risking for the sake of a great picture for this blog.  You ready.......

Here it is!
Thank you, Jesus, for allowing me to not die trying to take this picture.
I know, I know, you can barely see it.  POOOOP!   I thought it would come out better than this.  ANYHOW, at least you get to see an idea of what it looked like.  Bottom line, it was HAWT.  I would totally drive a tricked out hearse and love it!  That is what I call original!

Okay, now that I have it down on virtual paper that I saw what I now believe is my new dream vehicle......On to this past weekend.....

Saturday, I went and got my haircut (gotta stay on top of that every 6 weeks people - because when you have super short hair and it starts to grow out just a little, it looks like shit!)  Dazzle and Neon did not want to go with me and wait so they stayed home to do their usual - play video games together.  After I kissed my hair dresser full on the lips  thanked my hair dresser profusely because I absolutely love how she cut my hair (exactly as I asked), I ran by MexiMart Supa's way of saying that Walmart has more Mexicans in it than Mexico does and got Copper some new puppy toys.  He is a hot mess and he is chewing up toys faster than we can buy them.  We made a huge mistake by giving him socks to play with and chew on because he had a long, sock string coming out of his butt the other day!!  EWWWWW!  NASTY!  No more socks for you, buddy!  I took a few pictures of him (NO, NOT with the sock string hanging out of his butt...I mean, you people don't think I'm THAT nasty do you??

(Remember, anyone that personally knows me can look on Facebook for more pictures.....)

Copper saw me laying on the floor and he was RUNNING so that he could pounce on my face.  :)  This was mid-run.  Hey!  Watch those nails on those hardwoods, buddy!!

I had no idea that they made angry bird dog toys but lo' and behold, they do!  As soon as I saw that, well, I knew we had to have one!   I had to get a pig so that Copper could tear the enemy's face up!  I am going to get him some birds to chew on soon.  SIDE NOTE:  I love how it looks like there is a ghost sticking out of his ass!  LOLOLOLOL!
I when home after my Walmart trip and had lunch with the kids (Supa was at work all day).  Then we made a "scary" ghost dessert in honor of it being Halloween weekend.

YUM!  The ones with the pudding all over the sides of the glass are the ones that Neon did.  LOL.  This was totally a hands on project for the kids and we had so much fun making them!!  Did I mention they were delicious too??
After our yummy project was complete, we laid on the couches together and watched Footloose.  Not the new one, the one from 1985.  It was the first time my kids have seen it and now they are obsessed.  Neon wants to be Ren McCormack and Dazzle thinks Kevin Bacon is HAWT!  I broke the news to her that Kevin Bacon IS hot but maybe not as hot as he was in 1985.

Circa, 1985.  Yep, pretty effing HAWT!

I showed her a current picture of him and she was like, "Okay, then....Well, wow.  Big difference, Mama!"

Okay, so I realize maybe not AS hot but still hot to me.  Ren is under all those wrinkles!

LOL  I really enjoyed watching it with them and watching them experience what a classic movie it really is.  We have been listening to the entire Footloose soundtrack non-stop since then.  Epic, I tell you!

Sunday...Let's see...I ran to Walmart with Jade in the morning to return something and get cash.....Then we went to the flea market to see what movies the "movie guy" had that day.  (Have I explained who that is yet???)  Well, just in case I haven't:

Movie Guy:  An elderly black man who is at the flea market every Saturday and Sunday that sells brand new (and I'm talking brand new releases) DVD's for $10.00.

Oh yeah, baby!  Still in the plastic and everything.  I'm not sure where he gets them from...Maybe his grandson steals them off of the Walmart truck for him but I don't give a DAMN!  It's just like buying a DVD from the store.  No pirated shit or anything bad.  As I bet you already guessed, Jade and I love him.  We are his top customers.  I swear, probably half of my DVD collection came from him!  When he sees us coming, he also sees dollar signs...No doubt.

ANYHOW, so we went to check him out and we both ended up buying the new Pirates of The Caribbean movie for Christmas.  Dazzle is obsessed with Captain Jack Sparrow (Duh!  It's Johnny Depp, HELLO!?) and the whole series in general.  Then I went back home, got back into my pajamas and hung out with the kids.  We had one more project for this weekend to complete:  Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cookies.....
The recipe said it made 32 cookies but when we got finished we had 76!  YAY!
(Oh, yes,  Kitti, those are your baking racks!  You want them back?  I've only had them for YEARS...But, if you would like your tired ass baking racks back, I'm going to need you to STOP HOLDING MY TRUE BLOOD DVD'S HOSTAGE!  GROW SOME BALLS AND EMAIL ME TO LET ME KNOW WHEN I CAN SEND MY HUSBAND TO GET MY SHIT)  Oh, sorry, I'm not sure what just came over me but I'm still a little pissed about that situation!!!!

Turn on your smell-O-vision folks!!   They turned out delicious!!  This was the first time we have tried that recipe and we WILL be making them again.  Very easy to make and kid friendly.
I did bring 3 cookies to Red at work.  She WOULD have loved them if she liked PUMPKIN!  Yeah, that would present a problem.  But she did say they were soft :)

We had a blast making these too!  We didn't do much the rest of the day.  Dazzle and Neon played outside for awhile, jumped on the trampoline and played in the yard with Copper.  We watched a Dr. Phil episode together that was about bully awareness.  (Sometimes you need to teach with TV because it works!)  I think we all definitely learned something from watching it.

Well, that pretty much sums it up.  It was a good weekend full of mini accomplishments and some laziness to go along with it. (Did I say that I did A LOT of laundry this weekend too?)   PERFECT!!!

Till tomorrow then,

Apple

  1. Thank Gawd Dazzle thought Kevin Bacon was hot, and not Neon! Otherwise, there would be some more great stuff to blog about :)
