Breaking Dawn Part 2 Adventure Chapter 1

I'm having a really hard time getting my post together today.  It's my fax day (whoop-di-fucking-do).  I hate it when I have to work hard after I've been on vacation (really, LMAO).  I need a calm day to blog and get all my emails read.  Apparently, my boss didn't get the memo.  I'm going to do my best and hopefully not end with a "To Be Continued".

After I left work early on Wednesday, I picked up the kids and ran my errands.  I actually ended up with extra time before Lolly arrived so I even shaved my legs and painted my nails and my toes.  (Apparently, I was too excited to remember to take photos this time.  I went with Tangelo since I thought it was a pretty and fun color for the next couple of awesome days.)

Lolly arrived shortly before Supa did.  I decided to go ahead and fill the van up with gas so we wouldn't be held up in the morning.  Lolly and I went together to get that taken care of and left Supa alone to unhook the old dishwasher (the new one was on it's way the next morning).  We were gone for about....15 - 20 minutes and when we got back, I could tell that something went very wrong...

The first thing I noticed were the little drops of water from the front door, on my hardwoods in the office and back to the kitchen.  WTF?!  Then I walked in kitchen to see Supa on the floor surrounded by soaking wet towels, a bucket and the mop.  He did not have a happy look on his face.

He said that while we were gone, he reached under the sink to disconnect the dishwasher hose from the hot water pipe and when he did, the pipe burst.  <Kablammy!>  The kids were in bed asleep and he was all alone so he got up, ran (I would have paid to see this), got up under the house and turned the water off and started cleaning up the half bucket of water that was flooding the kitchen.  Fun stuff!!  He had me call the landlord and she sent her husband right over.  Upon further inspection, he said that it wasn't Supa's fault (thank God) and that the last plumber that came to do work under the kitchen sink (before us) did a shitty, whack job and that was why the pipe burst to begin with.  He promised he would come over first thing in the morning to fix the pipe and put in the new dishwasher, BUT until then, we couldn't turn the hot water on.

................................What?!

I had a trip to go on in the morning and Lolly was over spending the night.  We were both going to need to take showers!  This was not the way I wanted to start my mini vacation.

I called Jade.  (Another time that I'm glad she lives 3 minutes down the road.)

I explained to her what happened and asked her if we could come over in the morning and use her shower and get ready.  She said of course so I told her I would see her at 6:30 AM.

Lolly went to bed shortly after the landlord left and I stayed up for a while talking to Supa since I was going to be gone.   I didn't stay up too late and I fell asleep as soon as my head hit the pillow.

The next morning, we got up and realized that it was pouring down rain.  Wonderful.  (It was also raining last year when we left to go on our Breaking Dawn trip!)  We got into the van, over to Jade's and inside the house as fast as we could.

We got our showers and got ready pretty quickly.  I made sure I put those fake eyelashes that I bought to good use.

I think I did pretty good!  Don't they look real?  (Yep, those are really my eyes!  I'm pushing the hidden identity limits to the max!!)

Then we packed up the van with Jade's stuff and it was time to head to breakfast!  Shoney's here we come!
Bacon on!  We ate until we could eat no more!  YUMMY!!
Over breakfast, I presented Jade with an early birthday present:
Yeah, girl!  We are getting tatted up this weekend!

We talked previously about wanting another tattoo and I was planning on getting myself one during our trip (There is some law in SC that you can't get a tattoo above your collar bone so I knew I had to leave the state for this one).  Jade said that because of financial reasons, she was going to wait a little while to get hers so I thought (Lolly and Supa too) that this would be a great gift for her!  She seemed to love it very much.
The back of the coupon.

She also seemed to be a little bit nervous.  She knew it was going to be a painful present.  LOL

When we were finished with breakfast, we got on the road and headed up to Charlotte.  Thankfully the rain stopped and we got there without much traffic and drama.  We sang at the top of our lungs and had fun the whole way.

Once we arrived in town, we decided to go check out our hotel first and get familiar with our surroundings.  We weren't supposed to be able to check in until 3 PM but they let us check into our room as soon as we got there (11 AM)!  That was really nice of them and we were immediately impressed.  The hotel was beautiful, sparkly clean and the staff very friendly.  The elevator even talked.  LOL
The tub was huge....Not sure how it didn't make it into the picture.

The bathroom was pretty big which was perfect for 3 girls.

Two queens?  Yes, please!
Actually, this hotel room was far nicer than the one we stayed at in Myrtle Beach this summer.  It didn't have a lazy river like the one at the beach did but it was much nicer inside and out (newer and cleaner too!).
Our stuff was already taking over the place.  LOL

This was our view from our window.  Luckily we didn't mind look down on the mall because we LOVE the mall!!!

The other side of our view.  The trees are such pretty fall colors!

I got a text from Supa showing me the new dishwasher shortly after we checked into the room.  It looks nice and it even matches our stove they bought us not too long ago.
It's all digital and Supa said it's so quiet you can hardly tell that it's running.  :)
After we unloaded the van (only one trip with a nifty luggage cart), powdered our noses and checked out the free wi-fi, we decided to head on over to the tattoo shop and really get the party started!

To Be Continued.....................

(I tried, I really did but this is going to be a long one!)
