I'm Here...Sort Of

I couldn't blog yesterday.  I just felt like utter shit.  Today I am feeling better.  I'm still not 100% but I can finally breathe out of my face.  The antibiotics are working. (I love how I never call out sick from work unless I'm dead or the kids are really sick, which is literally like never  but all these other assholes people that work here call out every Monday and Friday.  The worst part of it all is that they get away with it!!  I can't even take 2 hours off to go to the dentist without being harassed.  Don't worry, I'm already planning on taking my hard working, unappreciated ass out of this department asap.  I have my eye on another position and I usually try my best to get what I want.  I'll keep everyone posted on that when I have something exciting to say.....

Completely normal of those around me.
Supa has closed down his job for the past two nights and I've been holding down the fort pretty well (I guess for being sick).  I sure haven't felt like cooking dinner.  I made grilled cheese and canned soup Tuesday night and last night cold pasta salad and chicken nuggets.  Not the best of dinners but fast and pretty painless. The kids were fine with that...They knew I wasn't feeling myself when I let them eat so unhealthy two nights in a row.

Supa finally has the day off today.  He has an appointment with his trauma therapist in about 20 mins.

**Side note:  That's going pretty well still.  He really likes the doctor who seems to understand what he's been through and takes him seriously. I'm really proud of Supa for doing the work and being brave.  The doctor is teaching him some skills to help with his "episodes" as I call them and to not let things bother him that normally would throw him over the edge.  So far, so good.  More to come on that later.....**
He might even be braver than this cute little toaster.  :)

Supa is also taking Odie to see the vet today.  He has been sneezing and snotting all over the place for the last few days and we weren't too worried at first but now he's wheezing and sounding worse.  The little fella is getting kinda old.  He'll be 13 in January so we try to be careful with him to keep him around as long as possible.  I called the vet this morning and they said they could squeeze him in this afternoon.  I also requested that they check out his teeth to give us an estimate on how much it will cost to get his mouth cleaned.  His breath is absolutely rancid and I know his teeth desperately need to be serviced.  LOL, yuck!!  They promised me they would check into that while they had him there I can't wait to see that small fortune of an estimate.  I'll let you know how he's doing tomorrow.

I now give you, a few laughs for the day:
FML, I hate it when someone does this to me!

At least spell out "OKAY" for my benefit.  Jesus.

Uncle Darling sent me this one:
It hits the truth right on the head.  No pun intended.

In lieu of my reading 50 Shades of Grey, (yes, I'm on Chapter 20 and it's still good as FUCK, heehee) I present you with these:
I've been pausing a great deal and overusing this word ridiculously.

It's also a story...but yes, I would call it porn.
I was in the office last night trying to figure out how to upload songs onto a cheap MP3 player so Neon could take it to school and listen to his tunes while participating in *mileage club.  It was taking forever (because I don't know shit about cheap MP3 players.  This girl deals with iTunes and Apple products only!)

As I'm sitting there trying to figure the shit out, Copper is licking my bare legs over and over furiously.  At first, it didn't bother me but after awhile, my skin started to get irritated by his rough tongue.  (WTF, yuck!)   I couldn't figure out why he was doing it in the first place.  I checked his water and food bowl, both full.  I asked him if he wanted to go outside, he said no.  I sat down again and he resumed licking me.  I concluded that I just taste really good.  LOL.

I decided that the only way to distract him was to hold him in my lap.  As soon as I did, the licking ended.  Dazzle grabbed the camera and I threatened her that she better not take a photo of me in my moo-moo.

Look at him, happy as a lark.  I guess that's what he wanted all along.  LOL
What a silly lap dog!

That's all for today, folks.  I'm still a little snotty and my book is calling to me!

Laters,

Apple

**Mileage Club - A club that meets twice a week before school (early folks) and runs laps around the track for exercise.  (Last year, Neon ran 60 miles and loved every minute of it.  He's on a mission to beat that record this year)
