Whatever, Monday....

Monday was chapping my ass as usual when I got some wonderful news from my boss....

"You get to leave an hour early today"

YAHOO!!!  That perked me right up and gave me the energy I desperately needed to bang out a quick weekend update post.
I didn't even need to use the fire alarm to get out of work today!!  Yippee!

Before I left work on Friday, I found the time to do this to my nails:
Although they didn't turn out perfect by any means, I still think they looked pretty good for my first attempt.  I bought the little rounded stickers to help me out and I will be trying this again soon.
The best part about my homemade french manicure?  It was free!

Friday night, I wasn't feeling to well.  My face was starting to feel a little clogged up and my throat hurting a little.  (Not quite bad enough to take the antibiotics I've been hoarding but not well enough for partying either.)

I laid on the couch with my little family and watched TV until I could stay awake no more.

Saturday morning (Supa worked all day) the kids and I ran to Food Lion for a few grocery items.  I was sticking to my "I'm not leaving the house all day" idea in exception to the grocery store so we went straight back to the house.

The kids and I took all the Halloween decorations down and cleaned as we went along.
This was one of the masks I got from Halloween Express during my trip with Lolly last week.  Neon decided it was time to try it out.  COOL!

Haha, Dazzle looks like she might be going to rob a bank!
After we fooled around with the Halloween stuff, I started deep cleaning (base boards, walls, crown molding) and I couldn't stop.  Damn OCD.  After realizing that it was 12:50 and that we had cleaned straight through lunchtime.....I decided it was time for a break.

After our lunch break, I looked around in the shed and moved some things about making more space.  I wandered over to the back deck to see what else I could clean...I put away a few sponges that had been "drying" for a long time and then I saw something I just had to take care of:

When we were smokers, we had a kitchen trash can out on the deck in a corner to dump our ashtray liquor bottles, beer cans, whatever and yard trash that we found into.  Since we don't smoke anymore (and hardly ever sit out on the deck anymore for any length of time) we forgot it was even there.  I remember asking Supa to put the whole trash can into the herbie curbie but I know that he forgot about it too.  When I saw it there, I knew it had to go.  I tried to pick it up but it felt like it weighed about 90 lbs.  I scooted it over to the back door and realized that I did not want the bottom of it touching our carpet and that I would HAVE to pick it up.  I had Dazzle open the doors for me and I lifted with my legs (working at Pub-Dizzle for 4 years did teach me how to lift heavy shit properly) oh my God, it was fucking heavy!  I made it through the house and down the front steps when I realized I couldn't hold it any longer.  I slammed it down to the sidewalk and when I did, the bottom of the trash can exploded.  Great fucking job, Apple.    Water started gushing out of it and it managed to splash Dazzle from her feet up to the tops of her thighs.  I also got splattered pretty good, Neon missed all of the action since he was on the porch and out of reach.  LUCKY!  This wasn't clear, nice, fresh water either.  It was BLACK and chunky.  It stunk like disgusting, rotten, moldy, nicotine water.  It was littered with soaking wet, disintegrating cigarette butts.  When the cold, filth water exploded onto Dazzle, she screamed and freaked me out.  I think it just scared and surprised her.  LOL.
Her face kind of looked like this when the water hit her legs.
After that happened and all the water drained out of the trash can, I picked it right up and threw it in the herbie curbie, no problem-o!  I had to pick up all those gross cigarette butts and rinse the sidewalk off with the water hose.  It was so nasty and I was super glad when it was over.  Then Dazzle and I took showers because I was afraid we were going to get cooties from having that filth sprayed all over our bare legs.

When we were finished showering disinfecting ourselves, Dazzle went up into the attic to put the Halloween decorations to rest for one more year.  After we got all that organized, we started working on cleaning out Neon's room.  That took about 3 hours but wasn't too traumatizing for any of us.  We threw a bunch of stuff away and packed some things up for our next yard sale.  It looked amazing when we were done not that it will stay that way for very long but I forgot to take before and after pictures because I'm a bloggy loser sometimes!!

By the time we were finished with that, I was too exhausted to clean Dazzle's room (And it was around 5:15 PM).  We decided to do her room next weekend.  We laid around on the couches and rested until Supa got off of work.

Jade stopped by to drop Cat Mama off for the night and talked to me in the kitchen while I made, black beans and bacon flavored macaroni and cheese.  Supa came home and cooked up our steaks so we could eat dinner.  (Sorry, bitches.  Apple don't know how to cook steaks yet.)

After cleaning up from out super yummy dinner, we needed some adult, alone time (the kids were in Dazzle's room playing Hedbanz) so we locked ourselves in our room for a while.
They look so funny with the cards on their heads but it is a fun game :)

Then Supa took me to get ice cream :)  We snuck out without the kids to extend our adult time.  We were supposed to watch a movie together when we got home but we both fell asleep on the couch watching TV.  LOL, as usual here lately.

Sunday we got up (Supa was off!!), ate breakfast and then we took Cat Mama, the kids and Copper to go for our hour long walk (and took the rent while we were at it since our landlords are around the corner).  When we got home, we locked the kids in the house to rest and off we went to Lowe's to buy our ladder!

We bought a ladder that will extend up to 16feet, took it home, leaned it up against the side of the house and laughed.  It reaches the top of the front of the house but not up to the top peak on the side.  Supa said he can climb onto the roof and hang the lights that way.  I think I'll close my eyes while he does that because  I will die if I see him fall off the house.  I already threatened him that in the name of Christmas lights he better be super careful.  We put our very first ladder in the shed and said a mini prayer that all would be fine when the day came to take it back out again.

I had the kids help me do the dishes and laundry.  The girls and I painted our fingernails while the boys played a little Wii golf.  I took a tiny nap and before I knew it, it was time to go dumpster diving for coupons.  Supa helped me and we still didn't find ANY coupons.  Thankfully, Uncle Darling saved the day and sent me some.  :)

We returned home, took showers and dropped Cat off on our way to dinner.

We did get to go to Kovachi's this time.  The kids and I shared one hell of a gourmet pizza, Greek salad and buttery, garlic knots.  Supa got a huge plate of spaghetti, chicken parm, Italian sausage and meatballs.  It was a pricey meal $60 but we enjoyed the food and atmosphere very much.  We all decided that we would definitely return soon to try more dishes.

We laid around the house and enjoyed the fact that we gained an hour this weekend.  I watched TV with Supa until I couldn't stay any longer and then we hit the hay.  I don't remember falling asleep and I'm sure it's due to the NyQuil I drank before I climbed into bed.
