Halloween Hangover?

I didn't drink a single drop last night (because I usually never do on weekdays) but I still feel kind of hung over today.  This must be called a "trick or treat" hangover, not a nice treat!  Don't expect too much from me today, <yawn>!

On that note, Neon recently decided that he was old enough to get up with an alarm clock all by himself on school days.  So far he has been doing a really great job.  He hasn't overslept once.  Until today.  LOL.  I woke him up when my alarm went off at 6:55.  That was 55 minutes after he was supposed to get up.  He jumped out of bed and freaked out.  It was kind of fun to get to SEE my son oversleep for the first time in his life especially knowing it won't be the last.  Let's just say, I had to sign him in to school late today.

I was pretty busy at work yesterday and I left an hour early to head home for the Halloween festivities but I did find the time to paint my nails real quick:
Sparkle orange with one nail of crackle.  I was in the trick or treat kind of mood.

Normally, I don't participate in any of the games, dinners, organized activities, or other stupid bullshit stuff they have at work.  Unless it's wear jeans to work day, I'm out.  BUT, I will make an exception for Tootsie Rolls.  Let me explain.

There was a jar in the break room that was full of every size Tootsie Roll you can imagine.  There was also a sheet that said to write down your best guess and whoever got the closest guess without going over would win the jar of heaven Tootsie Rolls.

Well, anyone that knows me in real life knows that these are one of my most favorite candies.  Andes mints are my absolute favorite but Tootsie Rolls are a close second.  I especially love the fruit flavored ones.
OH YES!  My mouth just started watering.

I looked at the jar and knew there was no way that I could guess the right amount.  I was going to have to guesstimate.  I reverted back to the days when I watched The Price Is Right with my Grampa all the time.  I couldn't go over.  I started examining the sheet and other people's guesses.

Someone wrote down 124 and someone wrote down 127.....I was thinking there were probably about 120-130 in there just by eyeballing it.  I went with 125, said a little mini prayer and left it up to the candy Gods:

Oh, dear sweet candy Gods, please hear my prayer:  <eyes closed and head bowed>

If I win this jar of love, I will not abuse this privilege.  I will not guess at every single candy jar guessing game (only when it is one of my favorite candies).  I will not use my powers for evil and make everyone jealous by carrying around said jar.  I will NOT eat the entire jar of rolls in one week day.  I have been eating healthy, exercising each day and behaving myself and will not let this gift from you derail my awesomeness.  I will be responsible.  Amen.

Guess who won the jar of goodness?

ME!

LOL!!  I don't think I have ever won anything at work and that made my day complete.

Thank you for listening to my prayers candy Gods!!  :)

So far, I've stuck to my promise which is proving to be pretty difficult and eaten only 2 Tootsie Rolls so far.  Wish me luck.
I'm going to need it with this sitting here.

PS, the kids wanted to know where the jar of Tootsie Rolls were.....

Haha, DUH, at my desk!  Did they really think I was stupid enough to bring them home where 2 little kids and SUPA lives?  No way, Jose!

Supa had to work until 8 last night so the kids and I were on our own.   I picked them up, ran to Bilo to get my coupon stuff and took them to Sonic to have .50 cent corn dogs for dinner.  We hurried to get ready, took pictures and went with Jade, Bean and Cat Mama to her Aunt's trunk or treat at the local lodge.  We then went to Jade's Grama's house to steal all her candy to say hello and then it was time to go to Jade's Mom's house for the real trick or treating to commence!

We walked and walked (around Jade's Mom's neighborhood) and eventually, Supa came on foot to find us.  :)  We had my kids, Morticia (the Mom from The Adam's Family) and a spooky phantom, Cat Mama was a leopard, complete with tail and whiskers.  I didn't take any photos while we were trick or treating because I had to keep a close eye on the kids with Supa not being there for the most part :(  But, we made it, had fun, and no one got ran over!  WAHOO!!

I think the kids made out pretty damn good too:
The pile was even bigger than it looks here.  That's just cray!

After I checked over everything, we ended up with a huge bowl of candy and a gallon sized Ziploc bag full of chocolate that I put in the fridge for safe hiding.

I'm out of words for today, my special readers you'll never know what type of special I mean, MUAHAHAHAHAHA!!.

I'm sick and tired of work and look forward to the minute that I can clock out and go the fuck home!

Peace out,

Apple
