I Love My Weekend Adventures Part 2

Sorry I ran out of time yesterday, folks!  This wasn't supposed to be a "To Be Continued" post but I was too busy at work to finish.  Hopefully I can get 'er done today....

When we arrived at the Rose Gardens the first thing we saw was some awesome road kill....

I reminded us of the squirrel that we killed only a few hours earlier.
R.J.A.T.W said this one was only a little dead.  LMAO!   It looks very dead to me.   I think that based on the tail, it may have been a possum or other large rodent.  The kids were pretty grossed out that I was taking a picture, LOL.

The gardens were beautiful as usual.  The kids loved walking around looking at the river.

See those two little black dots in the middle?  Those are ducks!
My camera sucks but I still thought it looked pretty cool.
Dazzle, R.J.A.T.W and Neon gazing out over the water at the water wheel.

Lolly and I were letting those three go ahead of us so they could warn us about any spiders or other critters before we walked into them.  LOL, suckers!!!  :)

The river looked pretty low to me.
One thing I love about living in SC.  It's fucking beautiful.

I'm not sure how good you can see this but it's a big ass spider on a web.
This is the same kind of spider that Lolly, Jade and I saw at the Rose Gardens on our last trip.  It was HUGE.  It was about the side of my hand and I don't have little girlie hands either and the body was hairy!  Talk about getting creeped the fuck out!!

When we were finished walking around the gardens being terrified by spiders, mosquitoes and other creepy crawlers we decided it was time to get our grub on and headed to Duke's BBQ buffet for some lunch.
Talk about some delicious southern food!  YUM!!!

Dazzle loves BBQ but Neon, not so much.  We ran by McDonald's so he could get a Big Mac, his favorite!  I swear, the burger was bigger than his face.  He ate the whole thing and the fries.  :)  We had a great time talking and eating...Just really relaxing for a little while from all the walking we did that morning.

After we were completely stuffed, we took R.J.A.T.W back to his house so we could hang out for a bit.  His Dad (in his 70's) was on top of the house he is building, putting the roof on himself.  (OMG, I hope I'm in that great of shape when I'm in my 70's)  We got to take the kids inside the house so they could see what an unfinished house looks like.  It was in the beginning stages, only the foundation, walls up and deck built, no plumbing or electric yet.  The kids really enjoyed that.

We left shortly after and started driving back towards home.  On our way we decided to stop at the Farmer's Market and see what they had going on out there.

There was a flower show that weekend so there were flowers and potted plants everywhere.  (That was unexpected and cool)  There was also a bunch of Halloween decor and pumpkins.  We know where we're going to get our pumpkins this year!
Oh, what pretty eyes you have !

Dazzle said, "Look, Mama!  See that little one that looks like a jelly fish?"

There were hundreds of pumpkins to pick from!
Oh, how I love fall!!! We're going to go back in a couple of weeks and pick out our pumpkins.

The only thing I bought at the Farmer's Market was a fall flag for our front porch.  I have been looking for one and I fell in love with the one they had there.

Of course I hung it up as soon as we got home.
Sunday, we were all pretty tired.  Supa had to work all day.  We worked on laundry, dishes, routine cleaning and Dazzle helped me wrap all of Neon's birthday presents so that they would be out of the way for next weekend.

My sheets were in the dryer.
Dazzle said she thinks we got him plenty.

*Not pictured here, his skateboard, yes, I wrapped it.  I hid it in the closet so he wouldn't see it.*

Dazzle and Neon spent some time playing with Copper who just seemed to want to sleep all day.  Lazy dog.  Dazzle took a video....

PS, no dogs or children were harmed in the making of this video.  LOL

We decided we wanted to go ahead and decorate the house for Halloween (we usually do at the very beginning of October since it's Neon's favorite holiday and his birthday month).  Supa wasn't home to go up in the attic to get the decor down so Dazzle decided she was brave and would go get it for us!  I was so proud of how brave she was!  She was scared at first but after she went up and down a few times, she wanted to stay up there and hang out!  HAHA!

I had to cook dinner so Dazzle offered to take some photos of our handiwork with her iPad for my blog audience.

I got these wall stickers last year on Halloween clearance (of course I did) for .10 cents each!  WOW!

Kitchen doorway leading into living room.

The kids named him Grim.  Another Halloween discount find.

Uh, oh!  Someone flew in and crashed right into the wall!

The back door.  He glows in the dark too.

The front door and Copper.

The front porch...
It took us a couple of hours to put everything up and Dazzle didn't take photos of everything. I guess she got tired of it after a little while.  LOL

By the time I cooked dinner and finished up everything, I was so beat!  I didn't have any energy to do anything else....

Except paint my fingernails :)
Purple!!  This was one of the colors that Dazzle picked out this past weekend.

Later,

Apple
