After work on Friday, I met Lolly and the rest of the family at the house so we could go eat at Texas Roadhouse for Neon's birthday dinner. I called to reserve our table under "call ahead seating" "
When we arrived, they changed their 30 minute promise to 45 minutes. No shocker there...It was a home football game weekend and there were people from out of town that needed to eat in addition to the locals. There were people waiting everywhere. I bet there were more than 40 people outside milling around. We got our little pager and joined the crowd outside. Neon had the pager and after about 3 minutes, it went off! No way! I figured it was a mistake but when we went inside, our table was ready. Wow. We went from a 1 1/2 hour wait to a 3 minute wait. :)
Our meal was amazing as usual. Neon asked me if I told them to come sing to him and I told him absolutely not. They are embarrassing. Of course I really had asked them to come and sing so when they did, Neon was completely not expecting it. His little faced turned red and he loved it (and his free brownie:).
Once we got home, Supa had to go to bed so he could be at work at 4 AM. Lolly and I sent the kids into Dazzle's room to watch The Simpsons on DVD and we got to watching our scary movie, The Cabin In The Woods.
**(Jade did not show up to watch the movie and she made it on my shit list with flying colors. It majorly pissed me off that she didn't come and see me or spend any time me with the entire week before she left. Lucky for her, I refused to be pissed at her right before I put her on an airplane so I had to let that shit go. Let go I said, not forgotten)**

This movie was nothing like I expected it to be. |
I loved this movie and I thought it kicked ass. I'm 31 years old and after Lolly left, I was kind of creeped out in the dark living room all by myself. LOL I'm very glad I bought this one.
Saturday morning, I left the kids at home in their beds while I took Jade to the airport. (Supa had already been at work for hours by the time I picked Jade up.) We talked about what the the kids were going to do that weekend and all the things I had going on. We talked about the TV shows we both watch and some other trivial things and then it was time to kiss her goodbye. *I have a hard time in airports. I hate them like most people hate the hospital. I had to tell my grandparents goodbye too many times in them to like them. I was having flashbacks and was sweating my ass off but I didn't freak out so I guess I did okay. I had to remind myself several times that it was 2012 and Jade would be back in two days.* I made sure to wrap my leg around her and hump her good while I hugged her so that all the patrons that were already staring at us would know that we were lesbians like they were trying to decide anyway. Let's give them something to talk about later why don't we. Hehe.
I got the kids moving and we decided for my exercise that day, we would go walk around the flea market for an hour or more. We ended up being there for about 1 1/2 hours and it was beautiful weather for it. We looked at a bunch of cool stuff but only ended up buying one thing that I had been wanting to buy for a while.

What can I say? I might need to spray someone. |
I got the pepper spray from the gun and knife guy at the flea market for $5 (what a steal). I will be carrying it in my purse to protect me from bad guys but I was really thinking I wanted to carry it in my fanny pack when I ride my bike. You never know who you might come across and sometimes dogs like to attack bike riders. It would break my heart to have to mace a dog but if it's me or the dog that's going to meet his/her maker, say hello for me pup. I plan on living.
I took Dazzle by Super and Patient's house so she could do her job and take care of the cats. We ate our Subway there and hung out for a while playing with the kitties and making sure the house was OK. That was the kid's first time there and they loved the grand tour I gave them. They said the house rocked and they could stay there forever. (I hope my girls are ready for some kids because mine are ready to move on in.) I wasn't sure if I should be jealous or what but I was glad they felt instantly comfortable at their house. Thanks again for employing Dazzle, ladies. She loves her new job and said she can't wait for next time so she can visit Joe and Darwin. (PS, maybe in a few years you can hire Neon to cut the grass or clean the gutters or something manly. LOL)
After I drug the kids away from Super and Patient's house, we ran by Jade's house and picked up Cat Mama for the weekend. On our way back home, R.J.A.T.W text me and said he was on his way to our house. (There went my nap I was hoping for.) I hung out on the couch talking to the kids until he arrived and then we took the kids to get Icees (yes, because I wanted one too). When we got back, I got down to business. R.J.A.T.W deejayed for me while I baked Neon's birthday cake and made pasta salad for his birthday party lunch on Sunday. By the time I finished, it was dinner time and Supa was home. I decided to make soup and grilled cheese (something easy) and before I knew it, everyone was fed and ready to party!
Lolly arrived (finally, I was ready to see her) so we left Supa and R.J.A.T.W at home watching football (Cat, Dazzle and Neon were in Dazzle's room watching Titanic) while we ran to Bilo to get a few birthday balloons for Neon. We went back to the house and the touchdowns were already piling up on us!

Football season is beginning to make us look like alcoholics! |
We decided to hang the streamers for the next days party while we were getting drunk. Golly we were just asking to fall off of a chair.

We managed to put these up without doing any damage. :) |
We partied and celebrated the Gamecocks winning until around midnight. (The kids passed out watching TV long before then) I remember being very tired and passing out as soon as I hit the bed. (Lolly and R.J.A.T.W spent the night as planned because we don't let people drive after they've been drinking)
Sunday morning, we all woke up around 9. I was not hungover but had a pretty sweet headache. R.J.A.T.W looked like he may have had a little TOO much fun but the rest of us seemed pretty fine. I took Excedrin Migraine as soon as I got up and washed it down with the breakfast we had with the kids.
Lolly and I left shortly after breakfast to go pick up Dark Special. We left straight from there and went to pick up pizza for lunch. I thought Little Caesars opened at 11:00 (what lunch place doesn't?!) but they didn't open till 12:00 so we hung out in the truck for 30 mins, talking and catching up with Dark. Good times.
I got the pasta salad out and made my Ant's (yes, that's how we spell that "Aunt" at my house) special punch recipe for Neon. He also requested an ice brain and you know being the Mom that I am, I delivered.

I thought it looked pretty damn cool and Neon LOVED it. The punch was delicious! Thank you, Ant! |
We ate our yummy lunch that everyone seemed to enjoy very much and I had to make another batch of punch because they drank it all! Heehee!
After we were all full, Lolly helped me clean up the mess and then it was time to open presents!

The only photo I could show where the only person that's recognizable is Copper. |
I don't know how I got that little weird circle on Neon's head but that present he's opening is his new skateboard. :) He absolutely loved it and was super excited. Pure parental WIN!
The gift that R.J.A.T.W gave him was also a huge win. I thought Neon was going to scream with joy.

The new Nerf gun. The Hail-Fire. |
After we cleaned up THAT mess, we headed over to the skating rink to continue the party.

Again, the one and only picture I could show. |
Neon, Dazzle, Me (in the far corner) and Cat Mama (seated). I was the ONLY adult that skated with all the kids. Even though I wasn't going very fast, I had fun and only fell on my booty once. :)
We got everyone snow cones (don't get cherry, that flavor tastes like cough syrup) and eventually headed back to the house for cake.
By the time we were finished with cake and everyone went home, I was too tired to do anything else. (And my headache was back with a vengeance.) Supa drove Lolly and I to take Dark home and then it was relaxation time!
Monday morning, I drove the kids to Super and Patient's house one more time to take care of the cats. They behaved themselves and played with the kitties for a while
Red was supposed to come over and hang out but she had to go to the doctor instead. :( Ear infection, poor baby. Dazzle and I danced on the Kinect for exercise that day...And it was exhausting fun at it's finest.
Supa got home around midday so that he could start his colonoscopy prep. Fun for all! He was bitchy because he couldn't eat and by the end of the afternoon, I was tempted to take him to McDonalds just to shut him up.
I took Cat Mama home after the kids finished watching their 4th movie of the weekend. (They watched Titanic, The 6th Sense, Darkness Falls and Poltergeist) I went back home and baked cookies for Neon to take to his class the next day for his actual birthday.

I didn't eat one but I heard they were soft and chewy. :) |
Jade's plane was late that night (shocker). The first plane was delayed and it just got worse from there. I ended up picking her up at midnight
Tuesday morning, I took Supa to his colonoscopy appointment. He didn't like the IV they put in his arm (He's only had one in his life ever when a truck fell on his head - I'll tell that story some other time) But he was a good patient for the most part.
I couldn't believe it but the doctor and nurses let me stay in the actual room where they do the procedure. They made me promise that I wouldn't faint or throw up. The doctor said that the last time he let a wife stay in the room, she fainted, fell off of the stool she was sitting on and bust her head open on the floor, creating an emergency in the procedure room. Wow. I vowed that I would behave, they gave me a mask to wear and let me watch. I got to see them put Supa to sleep and everything. They said, "This is his anus...This is his lower intestine...." LOL I was so fascinated!!
(And it's a small fucking world since Supa and I had both worked with one of the nurses husbands (before she had even met him). Good times talking about Pub-Dizzle over Supa's sedated body) Talking about sedated, they gave Supa the same drug that killed Michael Jackson...so that makes him kind of famous now, right? JK!
The bottom line:
NO CANCER, NO POLYPS, NO CONTUSIONS!
Wahoo!!! He's healthy and his poop shoot looks wonderful and perfectly healthy! I have pictures to prove it! :) He has to go back in 5 years due to his Dad's terrible track record and get rechecked but that's a good 5 years that we don't have to worry!
When Supa was waking up he said, "McDonalds....McDonalds??....." LMFAO!! Little did he know, he couldn't have anything fried or greasy for his first meal. I took him to Lizard's Thicket where he had beef stew, cabbage, mac n cheese and mashed potatoes. He ate every single bite.
We both took a nap when we got home (I was wide awake after I picked up Jade and watched Dr. Phil episodes until 2:00 AM the night before so I was ready for a nap). Neon woke us up when he got home from school and announced that his birthday package from his family arrived.

See that big hole in the side/bottom of the package? The post office carriers are dicks! |

You never know!!!! |
My weekend was wonderful. I even managed to throw my phone on the kitchen floor and do this to it:
FUUUUUCK! |
Of course, during this cray-cray weekend, I made the time to paint my nails:

They look black but they are actually black with silver glitter. |
Depending on how busy we are at work tomorrow, you may or may not hear from me until Monday. We'll see how the day pans out.
Love,
