Grampa Darling has emphysema and if he gets sick, he gets really sick. The man is 89 years old so when he gets sick, it is very hard for him to get well again. Aunt Darling is taking excellent care of him...As soon as she realized he wasn't feeling so hot, she sprang into action and took him to the hospital. Uncle Darling was there all day yesterday keeping him company. Times like this make it so hard for me to be so far away. I wish I could just jump on a plane and fly home for the week or weekend to help and be there to support everyone.
I was pretty upset last night because I can't even talk to him on the phone! His hearing aid broke recently and he can't hear me! Aunt Darling is getting the aid fixed but being in the hospital is prolonging the process. SO, I wrote him a letter and mailed it off earlier this week. I want him to know that I'm thinking about him every minute. Supa took me to Walgreens last night to get him a get well card and to cheer me up. We read every funny card in the get well section and that did make me feel a little bit better. I'm mailing that off today.
GET WELL SOON, GRAMPA!! WE LOVE YOU SO MUCH!!!
Okay, now that I got all that out of my system.... I need a chuckle.
Happy Friday, people! Supa and I are taking the kids to the local corn maze tonight after dinner and we are all pretty excited to see how that goes....Neon hopes he sees plenty of zombies and Dazzle is hoping it's not going to be too scary. She is probably going to make me bring extra batteries for her flashlight. LOL. I'll be posting about that adventure on Monday.

This made me laugh and laugh and laugh. I guess I am just full of dark humor. LOL. |
I'm not sure what else we're doing this weekend. I think I'm going to lay low and hang out at the house a good bit. I have a few errands lined up for Saturday morning and then I think Supa and I are going to have date night Saturday night. He's taking me to the "Deceased Farm", "3-D Haunt" and hay ride that is run locally (beside the corn maze) so that should be interesting. I'll take as many photos as are allowed so I'll have plenty of cool stuff to post. I'm hoping to get a few photos of Supa with some "zombies" to show Neon. He'll think that's pretty awesome.
I found a cool way to remove fingernail polish on Pinterest! Thank God because I was seriously sick of scrubbing.

There is a cotton ball soaked in fingernail polish remover stuck to my nail and then my fingernail is wrapped in aluminum foil. |
It looks time consuming but it's really a lot faster than scrubbing your nails like crazy. I swear, that takes twice as long. You only need to let your nails sit like this for about 5 minutes and they are all done!!
When you're finished, they look like this:

Pretty clean huh? I will never remove my polish any other way. |

Again, I love it. Hehe... |
Neon loves those little animals that grow when you put them in water. I found him some dinosaur ones while we were on vacation at Myrtle Beach and I just gave him them for his birthday. He's been growing them and they are so cool.

See that little blue thing? That's how big it is when you first open it. |
I'm going to cut this short for now. I hope everyone has a wonderful fall weekend. Hopefully when I get bloggy wid it on Monday, Grampa Darling will be back home and feeling much better.
Loving this fall weather,
Apple
